The Hotel Atlantis on the Isle of Kos,
This is where My Husband and I spent our honeymoon, as this was both our second marriages, we had some extra baggage to take with us, the kids and my Nan, lol.
We booked up not really knowing what to expect, the reason being it was a wedding gift, from Nan, we booked the day after the wedding and went 3 days later, so a bit of a mad dash.
A beautiful Hotel, we arrived ... ...To the rear of the Hotel is the route to their two swimming pools, both very clean, with seating and sun lounger areas, there is also a large Bar/snack bar by the pool areas, also a clean modern toilet area with changing facility.
Beautiful garden a paved area, this is where you will find the self catering chalet type apartments, according to some guests we spoke to, they were also of the same high standard.

A beautiful Hotel, we arrived at the main entrance on our transfer coach at about 3 am, we were greeted by two friendly staff members, who although it was very late, were full of life, very polite and extremely helpful, a very pleasant start to our holiday.
After booking in, we were shown to our rooms, not only were they very clean, but also very spacious, I have been on many holidays, and these rated as the biggest rooms yet. Our daughter stayed in our room, and they had already arranged all the bedding perfectly for us,
The room's décor was pleasing to the eye; bedside cabinets with lamps, very large built in wardrobes, dressing table with stool and large mirror, and extra drawer space. Remote control colour TV, air-conditioning and a sea view with spacious balcony.
My husband, not having a clue, tipped the porter $10.00 euro, but this paid dividend as ten minutes later he brought us a tray of biscuits and pot of tea, we found out from other guests that this wasn't the norm.
Breakfast was serve yourself, English or Continental style and was delicious, everything was cooked to perfection, nicely displayed and easily accessible, you could choice to sit either in the dinning room, or out on the veranda, it was great to be sitting in the sun enjoying fresh air at breakfast.
Tea was, Chef served, in a carver fashion, be careful how long you hold your plate out for, they wont stop filling it until you say enough, Again a delicious choice of meats etc: both breakfast and tea has vegeterarian options. Waiter service for drinks at teatime.
N.B no beachwear or jeans at teatime.
Outside the Hotel, To the rear of the Hotel is the route to their two swimming pools, both very clean, with seating and sun lounger areas, there is also a large Bar/snack bar by the pool areas, also a clean modern toilet area with changing facility.

All routes led down to the beach, no roads to cross, beautiful clean sandy beach, with sunloungers etc, also beach bar, with very friendly fun loving staff. Also a small selection of water activities
Back in the Hotel grounds, to the side of the Hotel complex, there is an animal enclosure, with small animals for the kiddies, also includes reindeer, and lamas. Just behind the animal enclosure is a kiddie's playground, climbing frames, roundabout slides and chineaze swings.
Inside the Hotel there is two snooker tables, card area and very large comfortable TV and reading area.
Outside the front of the Hotel, there is a Hire shop, for motorbikes and bicycles and on the opposite side a small convenience store, well stocked with all your holiday needs.
Journeying into town is a simple task, cross over the road at the main entrance, there is a bus stop, buses are quite regular approx every ½ hour, they operate a circular route system to the town and back, and latterly costs no more than a few pence, Taxi service is also very cheap about £2.00 returning from town to your Hotel.
Well I think I've covered the Hotel, the walk into town is a very pleasing stroll, on route, there is plenty of shops, bars, and cafes, all excellently priced for a nice lunch out, Lamb chops and chips are fantastic, served with all the dressing average meal has about 6 lamb chops on, we were able to dine and drink comfortably a family of 5 for about £25.00.
The Hotel staff are all very helpful and polite, and like the hotel itself, smartly presented. I cannot praise this Hotel highly enough. A great Holiday was had by all, my husband and I couldn't have asked for a better honeymoon.
