Advantages: Cheap shopping. A cheap way of skiing. Disadvantages: Coach transfer to resort took ages, and not nice if you're scared of mountain roads!
I went as part of a group of people. You fly into France and take a coach to the resort which is 3 hours away - no fun at all!
A cheap alternative to France or Austria, with excellent shopping because no VAT in Andorra. Ski equipment is very cheap, as is virtually everything else shopping wise. We bought gallons of booze back in our suitcases because it was so so cheap.
Skiing was OK but not brilliant. The lift system is OK too. Having been to Austria before I didn't think it was as good but hey, it's better than not going!
Nightlife - OK. As a group we tended to make our own entertainment and we gatecrashed a tour group's party. There was a bar in the bottom of the hotel which was handy!

Advantages: Slope access / Swimming Pool / Buffett / Perfect Disadvantages: I don't live there

When / Why?

The bottom of the piste runs directly into the lifts on the ground floor. Andorra is located on the borer between France and Spain, on the eastern Pyrenees.
Of course, this hotel is available all year round. For the winter, the ski resort offers excellent skiing and snowboarding with the best and biggest slopes in the Pyranees. During ...
Advantages: Interesting, educational and fun Disadvantages: 9 degrees and damp
tried to target the mine but succeeded only in blocking the entrance for a time. The Germans themselves tried to destroy the mine when they abandoned it near the end of the war.
Not long after the war ended the mine was reopened to tourists and to date more than 10,000,000 visitors have toured the mine and its workings.
At the beginning of October I went to Vienna for a weeks break from the drudgery of work, it was a last minute choice of destination (well, I booked it three weeks before leaving but everything else was booked up for the week I wanted to go, my original choice was either Prague or Venice) and it was an inspired choice as it turned out.
The second day of our holiday saw us driving out of the city and down to the Bergwerk Seegrotte, we had seen a pamphlet about it in the hotel and thought it looked interesting ...
