...I was pleased that the Hotel Auto Hogar (my place of residence for 7 days and nights) seemed to be of a pleasing nature. And that was confirmed when I arrived.
Obviously you look forward to your holiday and I was certainly doing that in the weeks leading up to my departure. I arrived in sunny Spain, made my way using train and metro to the hotel and was greeted by a lovely receptionist named Raquel. She was very welcoming and continued to be throughout ... ...it is good that the hotel have glass that keeps the sound out, except for the odd siren ringing from one of the emergency services.
I was lucky to have a room with a balcony, overlooking the main road (I love people watching!) as some of the other rooms room out on to a disused courtyard in the back rooms of the hotel. The balconies have the sun for most of the day (until around 5pm) and are really good for sunbathing.
