Hotel Ayron Park, Playa de Palma de Majorca

Advantages: Well presented, friendly, welcoming, modern
Disadvantages: On a back street

...We visted the Hotel Armadams for our honeymoon back in October 2006 for a short break to take in the sights and sounds of Palma. It is situated one "block" away from the main promenade in Palma, a road lined on one side with bars, hotels, shops and the marina and harbour area on the other. I am not a great Spanish speaker, infact I know only the most basic of phrases to muddle through, but the staff were very understanding and very helpful, even though we weren't checking in until really late following a delayed flight. The room was exceptional. Clean crisp tiled floors beautufully airy which really made a good first impression. Advantages: Quiet location, lovely hotel, brilliant food, private beach.
Disadvantages: Quite expensive and could be a bit quiet.

...parents and younger brother were going as well! With the remainder of my student loan already exhausted by a weekend break with my University friends it seemed like the best proposal I was going to get this summer. My parents chose the sunny island of Majorca for our destination and the hotel Riu Palace Bonanza Playa. The island of Majorca is the largest of the three Balearic Islands and is located in the Mediterranean Sea off the south east coast of mainland Spain. The primary language spoken in Majorca is Spanish although many of the inhabitants speak English and German also to accommodate the large tourist influxes from both of these countries. The capital of the island is the cosmopolitan and fairly large city of Palma which also houses the islands airport, flight times are roughly 2-3 hours from the UK. The currency used... Read review

Advantages: Quiet
Disadvantages: Intermittent hot water, ants! Quiet! very small rooms.

...than I had taken with me and I left mine to be added to the library at the end of the week. The location is a huge advantage, 70 metres from a quiet, beautiful white sandy beach leading into warm clear waters that had very small waves, the sea here is safe for children as the beach shelves very little, in fact I had to wade out a long way to get deep enough to swim but it really was lovely. The area is flat and so wonderful for walking or cycling, you can hire bicycles, tandems or those things that four people ride around on locally, you can take a bus or taxi into Palma itself or you can hire a car and explore the beautiful island of Majorca, we have done all of those in the past so didn't this time. The taxi rank is just a few minutes walk away or the hotel staff on duty will phone for a taxi if asked. I don't recommend this though... Read review
