Advantages: Quietness, brand new hotel, warm welcome... Disadvantages: a bit far from Grenoble city...
...I have been to this hotel last June, invited for a wedding and it has been a nice surprise! (I wasn't expecting much of a chain hotel, but this one has been a great experience!)
**access**
Not very easy from Grenoble: you have to follow direction 'Chambery' (A41) and exit at # 24A 'Crolles -Bernin' , then at the 2nd round-about you take left and then straight ahead in the Technologic park... and when entering the village Bernin, you take the 2nd road on the right.
The hotel is part of a 'domaine' with a lounge restaurant and a congress center.
**parking**
by the way: a car is really mandatory in this part of the valley!
the parking place is free of charge, closes at night and wide (about 100 places back and front)
**check-in**
the lobby is wide and brand new, yellow painted walls, red sofas, wood... the lift is right in front...

...Flybe is another one of these budget airlines running from local airports. This allow travel to be easy for anyone. I live in Bournemouth, but because they don't fly from my home town, I have to take the short trip to Southampton to fly.
I use Flybe to travel to the alps for my skiing trips. They fly from Southampton to Geneva and Chambery.
Service
The service is as you expect from any low cost airline. They obviously don't pay as well as longhaul, so you get a couple of staff on the trolleys and thats it. I have never tried the food on board but it appears to be overpriced to me and the sarnies don't look too good. You are only on the flight for a couple of hours at worst though, so its not a problem if you don't eat or drink.
Comfort
The seats are very comfortable and there is plenty of legspace. Can't complain at all.

...Meribel-Mottaret takes a lot of beating as a ski resort. Smack bang in the middle of Les Trois Vallees, arguably the biggest and best skiing area in the world, it benefits from great snow, a wide variety of accommodation and decent shopping.
At 1700 meters, it is some 250 meters higher than the main village of Meribel and about 5-10 minutes further on by road, making it effectively a self-contained resort. Access is easy from Lyon (St. Exupery) Airport. The journey by coach takes around 3 hours and costs 62 Euros each way, or you can hire a car and do the drive in less than 2.5 hours.
Geneva and Chambery airports also give easy access,, but hiring a car at Geneva is less convenient and flights to Chambery are limited.
Driving all the way is also a popular way to get here, with the journey from Calais taking around 10 hours. Don...
