Further towards the North East is an area known as the pine walk. This is tree lined (surprise, surprise) and has small beaches, private landings and hotel lidos to the seaward side and hotels, restaurants and smart shops to the landward side. The whole area is pedestrianised so it is very good for family eating in the evening. Kids can go to play on the beach safely while you wait for food to arrive etc.
Eating out is very varied. There are two Chinese restaurants, and Indian (Kashmir ? recommended), Lots of Mallorcan and seafood restaurants (Simbad and Neptuna recommended), Italian and pizza restaurants (Toto, Don Corleone and RAF recommended). For those with deeper pockets I would totally recommend Stay on the harbour and its sister ...
Advantages: Very family friendly, good range of restaurants Disadvantages: None!
We went here in November 1998 and it snowed, so no summer-time experience here ;)
It is a very pretty port, with a lovely marina and a great variety of restaurants and shops (yes, even in November!) We stayed along the Pine Walk in a privately owned apartment (www.clubpollensa.co.uk) which is a very picturesque setting. The resort had ...
I recently went on a cultural girlie trip with a friend to Paris. I was left to do all the booking. I was looking for a reasonable hotel, near a metro stop, which included breakfast. I came across the Hotel International on various travel sites and it seemed fairly highly rated so I booked us in for three nights.
LOCATION:
The hotel is located 6 Rue Auguste Barbier in the 11th Arrondissement. The nearest Metro stop is Garcourt which was a two minute walk away and it was a five minute walk to Republique which gives good links to other lines. It's not really central enough to avoid the Metro and walk to the attractions but it was located so close to a stop that it seemed ideal.
PRICE:
Prices vary depending on size of room and season. There are singles, doubles and triples available. We paid Euro254 for the whole time ...
