Hotel Bellevue, Brunnen

Advantages: Clean comfortable rooms, great location
Disadvantages: No tea/coffee, bathroom may put off some people

...We stayed at the Bellevue Hotel during August 2007; the price was 387 euros for 3 nights. Overall we had a very pleasant stay at the Bellevue, and the central location is ideal for exploring Amsterdam - the hotel is situated just a few minutes from Centraal Station. Room: The Bellevue is a very clean and bright hotel - our room was very modern and clean, with comfortable beds (2 twins pushed together for a double, might bother some), a flat screen TV on the wall and a funky bathroom. There is no separate shower cubicle, just a shower curtain and drain, so be careful on the floor! There is a lack of storage in the bathroom with just one small shelf, but for a short stay it shouldn't be a problem. There was also a safe deposit box, hairdryer, air con, and heating. ...I have read so many bad reviews about Bellevue but I had a great time there. I went in June 2008 for 2 weeks self catering. When we arrived we were on the 2nd floor in Minerva. I breathed a huge sigh of relief to find the apartment was very clean and the towels were changed about 4 times each week. It was only 5-10 minutes to the bars and restaurants or you could walk 30 minutes to the port or catch a bus. It's a very british resort so you can get all kinds of english food as well as the paella of course! I would recommend self catering as there didn't look to be too much choice for the all inclusive guests. Alcudia beach is absolutely gorgeous and only 15 minutes walk or you can catch a boat from the hotel complex. Great cheap holiday and plenty of supermarkets to buy cheap booze!... Read review

...I have redone this review to make it a bit better. I am new to all this so I hope it is helpful --- HERE GOES !!! *************LOCATION********** The location is brilliant and near to the train station. I have stayed in many hotels in my time as I work in the travel industry and would be very critical, but I have to admit that this hotel is very reasonably priced for its location. It is right next door to the hotel is the oldest pub in Amsterdam called the Café Karpershoek, this unique pub is part of the Bellevue Hotel. ************ROOMS********** Our room was of a very good standard and even came complete with flat screen tv and beautifully clean and crisp linen.
