Advantages: Plenty of bars & restauarants Disadvantages: Not guarenteed snow
Just returned from a week in ZellAmSee. (March 2007)
Unfortunately there was not enough snow for us to ski in the resort all week. However, the nearby glacier resort of Kaprun is only 25 minutes away by bus and the lift pass covers both areas.
Plenty of bars and restaurants and not all overun with tourists. If you're prepared to explore and try a few out, you can find some real gems.
Good looking town so make sure you take your camera.
COSTS March 2007
tea/coffee 2-3 euros
Soft drinks and beer between 2 and 4 euros.
Ski pass 179 euros for 6 days
Ski hire (used my own boots) 63 euros for 6 days
2 hours private ski lesson 90 euros
Lots of sportswear shops in case you forget anything. ...

Advantages: Location Disadvantages: Condition of the Room and Corridors
The location of this hotel was good and breakfast was nice. The rooms were quite small and the floorboards in the room and the corridors creaked an awful lot.
I wasn't sure how clean the room was, maybe due to the decor, it had a dusty, musty kind of appearance.
The tiling behind the toilet handle was all cracked and the bath wasn't the cleanest I've seen.
We booked the hotel on a special reduced rate and I'm glad we did, as this was no four star hotel. I'm generally not a moaner about hotels but I felt really strongly that something should be done to ensure it's classification is downgraded.
Very large and old fashioned hotel, but great location.
I wouldn't personally stay here again. ...
