The location of this hotel is excellent for a night out in the nearby Bairro Alto area and for shopping in the Chiado area. The Metro station is right opposite and the famous cafe brasiliera is very close.
We booked a triple room and were a bit disappointed that the third bed was a sofa bed, but the room was large and clean and had a good standard of bathroom.
The breakfast was very basic - just a bread roll or a croissant ... ...many nearby cafes. The hotel has lifts which are old fashioned but much better than struggling up stairs with your luggage which is often what you get at this price range.
The staff were friendly enough.
Don't expect to have a quiet night's sleep though as when we were there there were buskers outside until the early hours. But great if you're having a night out - there are lots of people around at night and it feels ... more

The breakfast was very basic - just a bread roll or a croissant and coffee from a machine which is the worst cup of coffee I have had in Portugal. But for the price you can always get a decent breakfast in one of the many nearby cafes. The hotel has lifts which are old fashioned but much better than struggling up stairs with your luggage which is often what you get at this price range.
