One thing to remember is that most people who provide any sort of service for you will expect some sort of tip. The hotel reception was welcoming and helpful (didn’t feel the need to tip here) and a porter was dispatched to carry my daughter’s and my luggage and to escort us up to our room on the 13th floor (tip required here). Needless to say the view of the city was impressive.
The room itself was basic, but extremely clean. The beds were comfortable, the windows opened and the heating was adjustable. Unusually there were no little bars of soap in the bathroom and tea making facilities were not provided, which was my greatest regret. The room also had a phone, shoe polishing kit, bedside lamps, chairs, table and tv. All in all, quite adequate for what we needed and at no great cost.
Not being large eaters, we didn’t eat at the hotel. There are various little local shops a short walk along the road where it is possible to buy bread, fruit, bottled water and other basics, particularly for a light breakfast.
A note about travelling around Budapst
When you visit an unfamiliar place for a very short time, you need to find out how to get around as soon as possible. Budapest is not a large city, but walking everywhere is still quite tiring and time-consuming. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to Moszkva tér, where you can buy tickets for buses and trams. Alternatively, directly opposite the hotel is a train station and a tram stop. A one or three day roaming ticket will permit you to travel anywhere in the city by train, tram or bus. Look out for the little kiosks that sell these tickets. Advantages: Location, views Disadvantages: Not a 4*, unvaried breakfast
...hotel! The hotel is located on the Buda side of the city at the foot of castle hill and if all you want from a hotel is somewhere pleasant to crash after a busy day shopping and sightseeing then this is definately the hotel for you! It is a great location - far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the main town but close enough to walk to it or catch a tram and it just so happens that there is a tram stop right outside the hotel.
This hotel ... ...a soaring tower of a hotel that is completely circular so from whatever room you are in you get a panoramic view of the beautiful city of budapest.
The biggest thing that let the hotel down was the decor. Everything needs mordernising and just generally brightening up! This would have made the stay there 100 times better. It felt like you were in a cheap/budget/hostel style hotel because of this (although this is not an expensive hotel anyway).

Advantages: Beautiful hotel with friendly staff Disadvantages: none
In February, I went to Budapest with my parents for a few days. My dad booked the break over the internet (flights and accommodation) so he chose the hotel that we stayed in. Having stayed in a Marriott hotel on a previous holiday, I was not disappointed when he told us that we would be staying in a Marriott in Budapest. What I didn't know until we got there was that we would be staying in a junior suite! (The room was discounted when we stayed so we got a better room for our money! :)
The Budapest Marriott is located on the riverside of Pest and had a fantastic view of the river Danube. We were lucky enough to have a water facing room. The hotel was within walking distance of the main attractions in the city centre.
The hotel was about 20 minutes form the airport and cost approximately 35 Euros (about £24) to get there. Upon ...
Advantages: Friendly staff, good location Disadvantages: Building works can be off putting initially
The Zara Boutique Hotel is located in Downtown Budapest onSo utca. It's a smart hotel although there are some building works going on at that end of the town at the moment so it can look a little run down at first site. We had an initial panic when we could here loud cutters outside our window when we got to our room but all work stopped at a sensible 5/6pm and didn't start up again until around 9/10am.
The Lobby is very airy and inviting and the reception staff were very amiable. Our room was a decent size (room 107) with a nice bathroom and very large walk in shower (no bath). The shower was a welcome relief at the end of a long day slogging round Budapest!
The Hotel is located pretty much at the bottom end of Vaci utca, the main shopping street that cuts through Budapest, and its also 1 road away from the Danube. The location ...

Hi!
Today I want to tell you something about a Hotel in Budapest.
The Art`otel Budapest.
******************************************************
Art`otel is up to now very small hotel a chain. Up to now there are hotels in Budapest, Berlin, potsdam and Dresden. Here a designer concerns hotel with 4 asterisks of which in the year 200 was built, in which each room is differently created. I found particularly funny in Budapest that the carpet on the floors was very imaginatively arranged there. With dominos. On the first floor was one point on the domino. On the second floor, two points. On the third floor, three points etc.. Was equipped the hotel of the American artist Donald Sultan.

The Art`otel has 165 rooms and is directly at the foot of the castle quarter from four ...
