residence. You will breathe the magical air of the Latin Quarter and Saint-Germain-des-Prés, with their bistrots and typical literary cafés.California Saint Germain is an ideal place to enjoy the lovely and charming city of Paris and its attractions. Begin your day with a hearty breakfast in a medieval atmosphere, and enjoy the soft colours of natural stones and floral arrangements. Furthermore, a fully equipped fitness centre is at your disposal, and you will appreciate the warm setting of the breakfast room, surrounded by the soft light of the stone walls.
Advantages: see it for yourself, there isn't enough room to type it all Disadvantages: cafes can be expensive - cost us £10 for sprite and coke!
...Go to the Champs Elysees! You will love it. I went ast year for the first time and I plan to go every year for the rest of my life. Paris is wonderful but it is the Champs Elysees that makes it so good.
The shops are great, street cafes are wonderful (good for a nosy), the street is immaculate (they clean it night and day). If you can, stay at the HotelCalifornia just off the Champs on Rue de Berri. It is an art gallery and hotel in one and is truly luxurious. If you have a Royalties Account with the Royal Bank of Scotland, you can get 50% off this hotel and many others.
The Arc de Triomphe is really what it is all about. I cannot begin to explain how impressed you will be with this incredible monument. I will never forget the first time I saw it - I was awestruck and quite moved by it's splendor.

Advantages: 4/5 star, great price, good gambling and atmosphere Disadvantages: The Lion enclosure
...My husband and I have just gotten back from a trip to Las Vegas and chose the MGM hotel to stay at so this forms my review.
The MGM is located right on the strip (Las Vegas Boulevard) right by Tropicana Avenue so fairly near one end of the strip. It is located close to the New York New York hotel and there is actually a walkway which joins the two hotels to give you easy access to both.
The hotel in its present form was opened at the end of 1993. Most of the hotels in Las Vegas have a certain them that they like to promote through each of their casinos such at NY NY, Paris, The Venetian etc. The MGM in my opinion is not as heavily themed as the other hotels but follows along the lines of old Hollywood/California movies stars etc with the feature of the MGM lion and movie star photos in the bedrooms. When the MGM first opened it had...

Advantages: warm in summer, romantic, architecture, street cafes Disadvantages: street entertainers wanting money for nothing, Hotel Favart
...My boyfriend and I travelled by Eurostar to Paris last summer and I can truly say it was the most wonderful holiday we have ever experienced. Disneyland Paris was the first stop and it is far more attractive than its American counterparts. We had to take the metro to Paris and carrying our luggage up four flights of escalators was a struggle, but it was worth it.
Our first hotel was a great disappointment - Hotel Favart. It was a total dump and we were only allowed to leave and cancel our reservation after I flooded the lobby with tears.
A very fast taxi journey took us to HotelCalifornia on Rue de Berri, just of the Champs Elyesse. I will never forget turning the corner at the Place De la Concorde and seeing the Arc de Triomphe for the first time. Forget the Eiffel - Paris is about architecture and the Arc is incredible.
I could go...

Advantages: Central, cheap, quiet Disadvantages: Small rooms, no on -site restaurant
...This Hotel is close to the centre of Paris, and at less than £20 a night is a marvellous find. Close to many of the grands magasins, as well as hundreds of colourful individual shops, it is a perfect base from which to explore Paris.
Although the hotel rooms were not the most spacious ever encountered, all were en-suite and cleaned thoroughly everyday. Covered in posters from various 'spectacles', and with a parrot in residence in the foyer, l'Hotel des Arts was truly welcoming and well worth visiting. Local restaurants - of many different nationalities - were cheap and the friendliness of this part of Paris cannot be underestimated. Although the hustle and bustle of Parisian life was at the end of the street, the enclosed nature of the road meant that noise wasn't a problem.
All in all a cheap, friendly place to stay in Paris...
