Grafton Capital Hotel, Dublin

Advantages: Central location
Disadvantages: Noisy at the front of hotel.

Grafton Capital Hotel (review) Have just come back from celebrating St. Patrick's Day in Dublin and stayed for three nights in the Grafton Capital, Lower Stephen`s Street, Dublin 2. Myself and two girlfriends shared an ensuite triple room which consisted of a double and one single bed. It had tv, telephone, trouser press plenty of tea and coffee making facilities and the usual hair-dryer in the bathroom. For those that have used these hairdryers you will know that it's very difficult to style your hair properly though it's adequate for drying. The shower over the bath was quite powerful. The room which was roomy enough had a couple of chairs and dressing table with a large mirror. For those that wear make up use the bathroom mirror as the lighting in the room is not very bright. The wardrobe had a full sized mirror and about nine ...

Great Renaissance Hotel in Brussels

Advantages: Beautiful hotel and great value
Disadvantages: Not too near the city centre

The Renaissance Hotel in Brussels forms part of the Renaissance chain of Hotels which in turn is owned by Marriott. I stayed at this hotel whilst on holiday in Brussels in August 2003 and found the hotel to be really good value in Summer (as all the business people are on holidays so the best time and cheapest time to visit Brussels is this time of year!) The room: The hotel bedroom that we had was well furnished and came with two Queen size beds, although room are available with one larger King Size bed. The room had a TV with satellite TV and a few okay English channels including BBC World. It also came with the usual trapping such as hairdryer, in room safe (very useful for passports and money!) as well as an iron and ironing board and trouser press. If you are here on business there is a large desk with ISDN line ...

Five Star Luxury Hotel

Advantages: Walking distance to the fashionable shopping district of Avenue Louise.
Disadvantages: A long walk to the Grand Place where many eating places are based.

This impressive hotel located on the Avenue Louise was close to Brussels' most fashionable shopping district. The 5 star Hotel Bristol Stephanie is ideally situated for both business and leisure travellers. The hotel offers 142 spacious bedrooms (Classic and Executive), a restaurant « Le Chalet d'Odin », a bar « Stefany's », conference and banqueting rooms, a fitness centre and an underground parking. We booked this hotel through Expedia.com for two nights travelling on 17th June 2005 (Friday to Sunday), and paid only £100.00 for two people in a standard room. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, tea & coffee making facilities, trouser-press, iron & ironing board, cable & satellite TV with an interactive system (Internet Acces and in-house video), minibar & telephones (with modem, voice-mail, fax plugs ...
