Hotel Capri, Sorrento

Advantages: Friendly staff and atmosphere, Clean and well managed, lovely food
Disadvantages: could maybe have more evening entertainment at the bar

...the side of the hotel, but we didnt hear too much from the road, which was good. The pool was clean and well kept. We didnt have an issue with the 5 euro charge as you were provided with a towel which was changed if it got wet, and it also prevented, sunbed hogging, which was very good. Again the staff were very friendly and there was always a life guardaround the pool. Overall i would reccomend this hotel as a great destination for if staying in Sorrento. It is 1/2 mile from the main strip which is good, as you feel in the town, but not too noisy. Excellent, and will be booking again next year... Read review

...to visit islands close to Naples - the Amalfi, said to be the most beautiful coast in the world, which i didn't get to visit as there weren't enough days in our holiday; or Capri, which i have personally taken a trip to and had a brilliant time, in the city centre of Sorrento there are boat trips you can take there which is really convenient! The 'Hilton Sorrento Palace' was a treat but quite expensive, seeming there were seven of us and the flight tickets, but it may be a different story and it might fit in your criteria. It did however impress us most when browsing and it sure did impress us while we were there. So if you're looking for a budget hotel, maybe this is not the one, but if you aren't i would definitely recommend you visit the town of Sorrento and stay at the Hilton! ...~ A Day In Capri ~ We booked a day trip to capri with a representative from our hotel (we were staying at the Excelsior Vittoria Hotel) in Sorrento this trip cost approx £50.00 per person. We got the hydrofoil from the marina piccolo which takes about twenty to thirty minutes or so. As we approached Capri I was amazed at the view of elegant brightly coloured buildings and tropical trees and plants it really does take your breath away and looks a bit like Balamory with all the beautiful colours and shapes, I think you will see what I mean on the photo's. ~ AnaCapri ~ We got a minibus to AnaCapri which is the island's second (Ana-means other), quieter town with lovely little white houses halfway up the slopes of Monte Solaro (which is the highest point on capri), one of the highlights for me was the scenic...
