We're Going to the Wild Wild West
Advantages: Fairly reasonably priced for a Disney Hotel Disadvantages: Pretty Basic

The hotel is designed in 'Wild West' style.
It is not actually a hotel in the traditional sense, where you have 1 big building housing all the rooms. There are several separate buildings, laid out as in an old west town and each building is painted in a bright colour with a wild west sounding name such as 'Sheriff's Office' or 'Soaring Eagle Boarding House' (where I stayed).
In September 04 I planned a weekend away at Disneyland Resort Paris. I was basically looking for the best deal available and found the Hotel Cheyenne to be the cheapest 'on site' hotel at the time.

A room for 2 people including breakfast (continental) for 2 nights and entry to the Disney Parks cost about £129 per person. Travel is not included.
THE HOTEL:
The Cheyenne is situated approx 10 minutes walk or 3 minute drive (via free courtesy bus) from the Parks.
The reception, including dining area/bar and shop are also in a separate building which is the first one you come to upon leaving the bus (this drops you right to the door).
THE ROOMS:
The room I stayed in contained 1 double bed and a set of bunk beds, an en suite bathroom, tv (showing Disney Channels), heater and ceiling fan. There is also a boot-shaped lamp which is supposed to add to the cowboy theme.
In the bathroom you are provided with towels and Disney soap (basically soap in a Mickey Mouse box). The towels and soap were replaced daily and the room was well cleaned.
I stayed in the bunk bed (one night in the top, one in the bottom cos I am a kid at heart) and found them pretty comfortable.
ACTIVITIES:
There is an open area in the centre of 'town' containing a stage and a barbecue as well as a stand where you can rent strange looking contraptions which are like little carriages you can pedal around the town. I didnt get one but I think they were about 4 Euros.
As it was out of season there was no entertainment, though in summer they do have shows and BBQs.
At certain times of day Disney characters visit the hotel and you can have your picture taken with them. While I was there the only characters that visited were Goofy and Woody fro Toy Story.
SERVICE:
Upon arriving we had to queue at reception then hand over out details, we were then given our passes to enter the park and asked to select a time we wished to have breakfast (they are staggered to accommodate the number of guests).
The only ones left were 7-7.30 am and 7.30 -8am so we went for the later one.
We shouldnt really have bothered as the basic continental breakfast (cereal, yoghurt, fruit) was not particularly appetising and certainly not enough to fill anyone up for an action packed day at Disneyland! You can purchase a cooked breakfast separately but we chose not to as the prices were quite steep! It was about 10 Euros a head for the cooked breakfast.
All in all the staff were helpful enough. We didnt have much call to ask for help but there was one woman there who seemed to be having some family crisis and was trying to reach her husband in Italy. The staff were very helpful to her, making phone calls for her etc.
GETTING TO THE PARK:
When you stay at a Disney Hotel you can use the 'Pink Elephant' courtesy bus services to and from the park. Each bus goes to a specific hotel (or sometimes 2) so just look out for the one with your hotel's name on the front.
The bus stop to the Disney Parks is situated about 50m from the reception and buses arrive approx every 10-15 minutes. Even though it was out of season there were still a lot of families and the buses became very crowded (they are the double sized ones)so we decided to walk after the first time.
The walk is pretty straight forward, you just walk straight down the road fro the hotel then turn right and straight down again to the Parks. You walk past some of the other Disney Hotels such as Newport Beach (which looked nice and I would consider for a longer stay).
MY OPINION:
All in all i would say the Hotel Cheyenne is good if you are on a budget and don't intend to spend too much time in the hotel (though as I said there is entertainment in high season).
I have heard however, that some of the off site hotels are a lot cheaper (such as the Movenpick and Holiday Inn) and there is still a bus service which takes only slightly longer.
So if you do want a hotel with a theme then this is probably the best option, though if you simply want a base to explore then I would suggest trying one of the non-Disney hotels.
Advantages: Great theming, lovely comfortable rooms, excellent value. Fantastic! Disadvantages: Check-in can take a while and breakfast can get a little busy
Hotel Cheyenne, Disneyland Resort Paris
Location
This hotel is situated in the resort of Disneyland Paris. It is located approximately 15 minutes walking distance or 2 minute shuttle bus ride from both the Disneyland Park and the Studios Park and around 10 minutes walking distance or 2 minute shuttle bus ride from Disney Village.
The Hotel
The Cheyenne is a 2 key (star) Disney hotel. Rather than one large hotel, The Cheyenne is made up like a ... ...at the back of the hotel next to the path to the parks which has indian teepee's and a park type area with see saw, swings etc called Fort Apache.
During the day there are pony rides from outside the services area (for an extra charge) and you can hire pedal carts to pedal up and down the village.
Getting to the Village/Disney Parks
There are two ways to get to the parks and village. There is a free shuttle bus that departs from outside the reception ...

Advantages: Close to the park. regular bus service Disadvantages: Small rooms, poor service, weather unreliable
We stayed at the above hotel during October half-term 1999, and were quite excited at the prospect. However, on arrival, the excitement was short lived. We arrived at about 8.30pm, tired and hungry, after a very long day travelling, and found ourselves having to wait for an hour on the coach whilst the receptionist distributed room keys to the coach driver. The hotel was designed in the style of a wild-west ranch and the accommodation blocks were ... ...we were in the furthest block away from the reception/restaurant area. The rooms were en-suite, but very small, providing a double bed and bunk bed. The room had a TV, with a park information channel park, and a wide range of multi-lingual channels, there was however only 2 English channels.
For breakfast, which was included in the trip price (£149 each - approx £50 for children- 3 nights/2 days park entry), we were issued with a ticket with a time ...

Disney`s Hotel Cheyenne. The western themed low rise hotel set in a few acres of groung and within easy walking distance of the park.
Cost : If you are looking for a cheap Disney hotel holiday then you will be very hard pushed to find it. This is the cheap alternative to your high class Disneyland Hotel. The price you will pay is for B&B only. You are looking at a hefty £100 pound per night before adding on tickets etc. But it`s a dream come true ... ...one for the kids.
Hotel : The hotel is a low rise set up with 2 storeys being the highest you will have to climb. The rooms are set in various blocks spread around a look alike western town, with authentic designs etc.
The main resturant the you have brekkie in is a fair size, but be warned its like a rammy at O.K corral. Still though the food is good, continental style. The same resturant is used for evening meals as well. We never tried this ...

...Our accomodation was the Disney Hotel Cheyenne. The hotel is not your standard 1 building hotel, it is a hotel spread across a wide area - in this case Wild West themed buildings like the Sherrif hut, Bar etc etc.
Our group was allocated block 16 - a nicely situated one near the bus stop. I was with 2 of my friends in which the bedrooms are made up of one bunk bed and one double bed - ideal for 2 kids 2 adults. The beds are nice and comfortable ... ...au chocolat, ham, cheese, salami, yoghurt etc) but you can spend €7.50 for a cooked breakfast!
All in all, the Hotel Cheyenne is a nice basic hotel. You don't really need a flush expensive hotel if you are going to spend most of your time in the two parks ...

Advantages: Good location and appealing to adults Disadvantages: Not as appealing to children
...a few of the Disney Hotel and the Hotel New York is definitely my favourite. It is the second most expensive of the hotels to stay in (after the Disneyland Hotel) but has many advantages! This is also the smallest hotel on Disney property and has the advantage of having smaller and more intimate restaurants and virtually no queues for breakfast!
Rooms:
The rooms are bright and airy and are decorated with 'Big Apple' touches everywhere (see if you ... ...thought out.
Location:
The hotel is the second closest to the theme parks, approximately 5 minutes walk (after the Disneyland Hotel) and is the closest to Festival Village. Although all the hotels are located close to the parks (approx. 10-15minute) walk being very close has it's advantages after a long day walking round the theme park!
Activities:
In winter you can have a go a ice skating (minimal cost) and if not, it's nice to sip hot chocolate ...

if anyone gets lost around the CheyenneHotel site, etc. Also a good meeting point if you are staying with a lot of other people, staying in different rooms at the Cheyenne.
::::: Why we chose the CheyenneHotel:::::
The Cheyennehotel officially opened back in 1992. We had been to DisneylandParis in 1995, and 1998, and had stayed at the CheyenneHotel on both of these occasions. It looked like a good themed hotel in the DisneylandParis travel magazine too. The hotel has stayed the same since a previous visit which was in 1998, but made a recent visit to this hotel and Disney park back in October 2006. The hotel is a good theme for young children, and adults. Every section of the hotel, rooms, shop, bar, etc are all based on a cowboy theme.
