Hotel Continental is located on the ramblas. See if you can get a room that has a balcony facing on the ramblas. The ramblas comes alive from around 6/7pm at night and is a fantastic site to see.

The hotel itself is a really nice hotel. The rooms are of a generous size and are decorated in a homely style. The beds were comfortable, the room was very clean and the patio doors shut out the sound of the ramblas very well. It is a great base for you to discover Barcelona which is a beautiful city with much to see and do. It is situated perfectly for shopping, for the bus tours, you must do this, for the beach at the end of the ramblas and the port itself.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is also located very near to the train station so you are able to get to and from the airport via train should you wish to, which is actually easier than by road. I fully recommend the hotel. Breakfast is continental and very nice.
