On arrival check-in was efficient and staff polite but a little stern looking.
The hotel is outside Alcudia in PlayaDeMuro but the buses are regular and cheap to the strip. The hotel as a courtesy bus to the beach, which is lovely, shallow and white sand and ample sun beds and umbrellas.

We chose to visit the Holiday Inn Alicante Playade San Juan for a week in July after having three very pleasant stays in Express by Holiday Inns in the UK. We were not sure what to expect in terms of quality, however it was probably one of the best hotels that we have ever stayed in.
The cost was ?94 per night for an en suite room with king size bed and an ?almost double? sofa bed. The room was on the third floor of the hotel and had a view of another apartment block to the rear of the hotel. However, this did not cause any problems as the apartments were quite a distance from the hotel, therefore not blocking the panoramic view.

Advantages: exc location, 5 mins from the beach, top quailty hotel! Disadvantages: quite a long coach ride from the airport (Palma)

The only thing to watch out for is the street sellers, they do keep on at you and I would recommend that you politely say no and walk away, they get the message eventually - spend your money elsewhere, such as the local shops, markets etc - at least you will know what you are getting!
Saying that, there are the ladies who do the hair plaiting, they will try to charge you a fortune, but if you want it done, keep haggling, I kept going to different ones for a couple of days getting them to beat each others prices! It worked and I eventually got it done for about £25. It was worth it, and they are very good at what they do, just make sure you haggle with them!
