Advantages: Nice hotel, good swimming pool and bar, fantastic scenery, close to the beach, very peaceful Disadvantages: Very remote - a few more tavernas would be advantageous, the seabed was covered in seaweed
...My partner and I have just returned from a wonderful holiday staying at the HotelCoral in Skala Rachoni, Thassos. We booked with Thomsons Holidays as a last minute package deal, although this hotel can be booked independently. We stayed for a week during the school holidays from July 22nd to July 29th 2007.
THE LOCATION and FACILITIES
The hotel is literally 180 metres from the sea (less than 5 minutes walk) and is set within beautiful olive groves with a spectacular mountain backdrop. The small resort centre of Skala Rachoni is about 1km away along the seafront, and the village of Rachoni is 4km inland.
There is plenty of parking available at the hotel and a lovely swimming pool with pool bar. The swimming pool, which is a decent size, is set within the olive groves and so the surroundings are totally peaceful. My only gripe...

Advantages: Wonderful beach, small town which hasn't been overdeveloped and still retains it's fishing village charm Disadvantages: Only one road into resort which gets extremely busy during high season, town centre can be noisy late at night in high season

Nightlife is centred mainly around a small square in the centre of town. This can get rowdy, as it's where teenagers tend to congregate in the evenings, but the benefit is that it is limited to one small area. There is a club in this square, and a couple of others elsewhere in town, but these tend not to present too many problems. The rest of the square is made up of Spanish British-style pubs. Elsewhere in town there are a couple of English-owned pubs, which fit in well with the local bars. There are also a couple of good tapas bars, which is always good for a light lunch or evening snack.
L'Estartit also has two ice cream parlours offering extraordinary...

...Cyprus is an island in the southern mediterean, just off the Egyptian coast, being divided into touristy Greek Cyprus and Turkish Cyprus (which is mostly a military base). I went to Cyprus on a cycling holiday and it was an absolute nightmare to get the bikes, we waited 45 minutes after everyone else had left the new (but very barren and not very comfortable) arrival lounge. The bikes eventually appeared to fell off the plane, as we found later in the holiday that they arrived with various damage. Larnaca is the location of the main airport in Cyprus, located close to the party town of Ayia Napa but 90 minute slow bus ride away from the Coral Beach Hotel and Resort, Paphos.
The country appears to be very dusty, sparse in population except for the large hotel resorts and the ubiquitous half built villa's that seem to be found...

My impressions of this game when I saw it advertised on the internet was that it looked like a completely different type of game that I'm used to seeing for the DS.
