The most spectacular hostel i have ever stayed in. located a 15 minute walk to town this hostel has its own private beach which is a short stroll from your bedroom. breakfast is very basic but the beers are cheap and the biggest and cheapest pizzarestaurant is located within 5 minutes walk. they will even deliver. we spent out days in this roman croatian town wandering the old town with a beautiful roman ampitheatre, fruit and vege markets, trampsing the cobbled town center and walking around the rocks to the different little beaches. the water is cyrstal clear and although there is no sandy beaches there are plenty of private alcoves and rocks to jump from and sunbake on. there are camping facilties if you want and four - six bed dorms. not sure if they have private rooms - if they did they were booked up when we arrived. there are planty of facilities for kids but this is definately a backpackers accomodation. take a tip from me explore the beaches all day then relax in the afternoon with a few croation beers and enjoy the most spectactular sunset you will ever see. we spent 4 days here and didn't want to leave..........
Sorry, this is supposed to be a review of a specific hotel called 'Hotel Croatia' not a generic one. I would suggest e-mailing Ciao to get this moved to the correct topic (you might have to request it to be added if it is not already done so).
