Originally built in the 15th century, Hotel Dona Palace offers guests tradition and refinement one block from Saint Mark\\\'s Square .With its facade facing the Rio of Palazzo Ducale and the Bridge of Sighs . The Palace has been built in the 1400 in gothic style by the patricianTrevisan family. The successors were the Grimaldi family who remained the owners for more than 2 centuries from half 1500 and improved on the structure of the building with a lot of renovation works. Palazzo San Basso was thee original name of that period but the actual name of Palazzo Donà arrived only with the Donà family when it became the residence of the Doges Donà. Now it is a marvellous luxury Hotel, a perfect combination of past and present, where all has been created to satisfy clients needs. The main façade is enriched by 2 huge quadrifore (typical Venetian windows with 4 arches) overlooking the Rio of Palazzo Ducale , the canal of famous Bridge of Sighs. The main lounge situated on the second floor shows all its beauty with valuable marble and wood retrieved to the original creation. Valuable marbles and woods make for a luxurious atmosphere in this building that faces the Palazzo Ducale canal, with the famous Sospiri bridge. Two beautiful four-arch windows enrich the priceless value of the former Doges\\\' residence. Guests can enjoy the specially reduced prices in the restaurants that belong to the hotel (All\\\'Angelo, La Canonica and La Grotta) and spend pleasant moments in the lounge, savouring exclusive cocktails prepared by the expert bartender, served with assorted canapés or flambéed specialties. It is also possible to enjoy a moment of relax at tea time, sampling particular tea blends and typical Venetian pastry.
The Palace Hotel in Buxton, Derbyshire, is an amazing hotel. It is an RAC 4* accredited hotel and my partner and I went on a 2 night leisure break there for Easter. We chose this particular hotel because it has a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gym and more
