...The Canal du Midi, is a man dug canal, situated in the south of France, and joins the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean sea, via the Canal Garonne. The water sources which allow the canal to be constantly navigable, come from the Montagne Noire, (situated in the south west of the Massif Central, near Mazamet, in the Tarn area), by three lakes, and the Saint Ferréol dam. This technical challenge, first imagined in 1539, stayed a project on paper for almost a century, until 1636. ¤ø,¸¸,◊,¸¸ ,ø It was Paul Riquet, an ingenious engineer, born in Béziers in 1604, who started the first portion of the Canal in 1636, under the reign of Louis XIV. ...A first time traveller to Kota Kinabalu need not be afraid of not finding good accomodation. Kota Kinabalu has a very good range of suitable hotels for both the tourist and business traveller. The Shangri-la Tanjung Aru has long been established as a popular beach front resort hotel which is located approximately 20 minutes from the centre of the city. It has a nice relaxed atmosphere and a very good buffet breakfast spread which even includes japanese noodles and sushi. Prices are relatively high but promotional offers during non peak seasons can be very good. A newer and undoubtably my favourite hotel is the Sutera Harbour Hotel, located next to Magellan and the Royal Yacht Club. Advantages: Near to most major sites
Disadvantages: In noisy atmosphere

...This was a nice comfort hotel place du tertre, paris , well located and easy to find. We stayed here on a winter weekend and unfortunately the rooms were not warm enough, the thermostats didn't effect the room temp and there was no manual control for the heater. Also the walls are paper thin and we were disturbed by noisy guests next door arriving late at night, although this is not the fault of the hotel. The location was excellent a short walk from Notre Dame and a walkable distance to most of the major sites (Eiffel Tower, La Louvre). The Metro is very close by and there were some good restaurants in the area.It was such a unforgoteble experience for me and my family. Thanks.... Read review
