No Cannes Do

Advantages: Great place for people watching
Disadvantages: a tacky novelty that wore off quickly

This summer I was lucky enough to spend a good bit of time touring the South Of France. It was a voyage of discovery and wonderment and I am going to share with you my experiences of Cannes. If you want historical facts about the place, or a list of hotels...you will not find it here.... but enjoy nonetheless. Funzo's Fantastical French Follying Adventures (the catchy name I gave my trip) had to take in Cannes. Driving along the south coast after a dissapointed day in the overcrowded, far too English resort of Nice, Cannes seemed an ideal box to tick and the 40ft Motorhome trundled laboriously along the picturesque if not scary coastal road that can take you from Monaco to Marseille with the sea never leaving your eyeline. Eden Lake

Advantages: Powerful horror, genuinely scary
Disadvantages: Sickening to watch

Sometimes I just crave something to give me a bit of a scare. Horror films which are genuinely scary are few and far between and it is almost unheard of to find one which gives you more than a few jumps and actually offers ...

Cannes and Nice France

Advantages: Good place for children, friendly, watch out for the hot summer months,
Disadvantages: Hotels get full fast so book ahead

Cannes Cannes is known as one of the most stimulating Places in the world: With breathtaking sea views and many attractions that would print that romantic memory, Cannes will also spoil you with the high street shopping and the endless bars and restaurants that line the streets will never see you without a good meal, and that is without mentioning the beautiful sandy beaches along the coastline where you can relax and enjoy the french sun, you will also find sellers selling there souvenirs along the sidewalks and for a small fee you can rent chaise lounge and umbrellas to drink and take a nice relax in the shade.
