Advantages: Safe place Disadvantages: Nothing to do outside
...Lima is not the best place to go on holidays, although some turist companies try to lie on this. This is the case of this hotel and the way they sell the city to foreigners.
Yes, the hotel is nice, safe, it has facilities but only if you want to spend you money and time inside the hotel you are gonna be content. There is not much to do around the city. Miraflores, where the hotel is, is a nice place but people don't socialise very much and everything is more expensive for been one of the richest districts of the city.
The hostel is quite cheap (for foreigners) and the people who work there are quite friendly. The services they offer are the basic usual ones.
Good hotel and very central but in the wrong place. There is not much to do in the night in this part od Miraflores, you will always need to take a taxi in the night to go back...

...I recently used KLM to fly from Birmingham to Lima, via Amsterdam.
The whole experience was very satisfying.
Checking in at Birmingham was a doddle, we booked through to Lima. The flights left on time. We were given a newspaper as we boarded the plane at Birmingham, followed by breakfast.
After a short stop over in Amsterdam (Schipol is a lot better place to spend a couple of hours than Heathrow), we took off on the 13 hour flight to Lima. We were fed and watered often on the flight. At Aruba, the crew changed and we had an hour to stretch our legs in Aruba airport before continuing our journey. At Lima our baggage turned up, much to our surprise.
On the return journey, the plane was delayed for 4 hours at Aruba, because of a storm, hence we missed our connection at Amsterdam. We had to spend a night in Amsterdam. This was competently...

...The location of this hotel is good, right downtown, but the rest is well under accepted standards. There is no shampoo in the bathrooms, the included breakfast is basically bread and butter with coffee and we were forced to change rooms in the middle of our stay because they needed to do some urgent water repairs. The entire hotel smells like an antique store and there is no room service. At the very end, they overcharged us. When we confronted the staff the next day, they acknowledged the error but refused to refund the money, offering us a credit for a subsequent stay. When we asked to talk to the manager, we were told she only shows up sometimes and does not have a fixed schedule. A very bad experience overall. I would not stay there again, even with a free voucher....

My impressions of this game when I saw it advertised on the internet was that it looked like a completely different type of game that I'm used to seeing for the DS.
Overview:
To best describe Hotel Dusk you could say it is an interactive novel in... more
I lived in New York City for a few years, but had little experience of its hotels until after I'd moved away. My husband and I stayed in the Library Hotel in late August of 2004 for two nights. After spending a few nights in one of its sister hotels the... more
