Stayed at the Flamingo Oasis Hotel between 5/8/08-20/8/08 When you pull up to the hotel in your coach the first thing your likely to see is the large flamingo that is painted on the side of the hotel, at night this flamingo lights up in pink colous.
When you walk into the main reception area you can feel the coolness of the air con, the staff are kind and friendly. They book you into the hotel and you have your photo taken for the ID cards, there is a different colour for the adults to the children, this is so staff can be sure of age when serving alcohol, also so that they know your a guest at the hotel. Your ID cards also double up as a door key to get into your room.
The guest bedrooms are of a large size and spacious, depending on how high up in the hotel your room is, will depend how much of a view you have. We stayed on the 23rd floor and the view was magnificent, during the day you can see from miles around and at night time Benidorm lights up.
The food is delicious and the hotel provides for all types of diets. During the week they will have themed nights in the resturant and have a person to greet the guests and play music. At breakfast you have a choice of a full breakfast, fruit and continental breakfast. At lunchtime and dinner the hotel offers a wide range of meals and deserts. Between meals the resturant offers a selection of food for those who are a bit peckish. Outside in the pool area there is a food area which provides chips and hotdogs. If you are going out for the day the hotel provides a pack lunch for all guests.
The bars offer a smoking and non smoking area. Everyday the bar offers a different cocktail for the guests. Most drinks are free till midnight, if you want a brand drink such as WKD or Bacardi alcopop the hotel will charge for these. Bottled water is free at all times.
The entertaiment team provide an inhouse version of films 3 times a week, ranging from grease to mamma mia to starlight express which the entertainers wear roller blades. The hotel has many acts that com in to put on shows, some for children and after 10pm they have adult entertainers, the hotel warns parents that the shows after 10pm are of an adult nature.
There is a club for young children to play games and win prizes. There are games like football and rifle for older children and adult to play and win a certificate in the evening. There are several boards around the hotel which provide information about the activities available. There is also a childrens cinema that is availble in the afternoons for children.
The hotel itself in situated close to the seafront, it is on a direct bus route into the town, and a short walk away from all the shops, in the other direction it is 10 minutes walk away from Mundo Mar and Aqualandia and Benidorm Palace.
The hotel is children friendly and a brilliant place to stay when going abroad. This was my first holiday abroad and I wasnt dissapointed one bit. It is definitely a hotel I would like to go back to in the future, and recommend it to anyone thinking of going to Benidorm for your holiday.
