We chose the hotel for its location- close to shopping district and centre of Paris and we werent disappointed there. We were feeling confident about the hotel as we had had good communication with them before we left- we had changed dates and asked to leave our luggage in the hotel as we were arriving early.
We were not disappointed ... ...at one time considering the hotel was quite busy.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again as the location can't be beat- metro stop 2 mins away and 15mins walk to galeries lafayette and opera district. the room cost us 119 euros per night with breakfast included. this was for a twin room, i think doubles are slightly cheaper.

Fresh off the plane from paris i thought I'd share my thoughts on this hotel in Paris where my best friend and I spent a long weekend.
We chose the hotel for its location- close to shopping district and centre of Paris and we werent disappointed there. We were feeling confident about the hotel as we had had good communication with them before we left- we had changed dates and asked to leave our luggage in the hotel as we were arriving early.
We were not disappointed when we arrived- the outside of the hotel was a freshly painted blue. of all the buildings in the street it was by far the best cared for giving a very good impression. inside, the staff could not have been more friendly and willing to help. we spoke in French to them but I did hear them speaking English with other guests. the desk is manned 24/7 which was a relief for 2 girls travelling alone. our luggage was left in the conference room which was unlocked but the staff on reception would have been able to see anyone entering the room so we were happy to leave our bags there til the room was ready.
When we returned at 2.30 our room was ready and we were given the keys. our room was on the 6th floor but there was a lift so no problems there. the room was certainly the biggest ive stayed in in paris, very generously sized with the twin single beds at one end and wardrobe and desk at the other. only problem with the layout of the room was there was a timber beam coming across one part of the room which i banged my head on twice- and Im only 5ft!!!! the room was tastefully decorated in blue and lemon colours and the bathroom in plain white. the view from our room was onto the street below which was a quiet street so we werent bothered by noise.
the bathroom was spotlessly clean (like the room itself) and had complimentary toiletries. the shower was fantastic- more powerful than mine at home!and plenty of hot water- 2 girls getting ready to go out need to wash their hair etc!
breakfast the next morning was a little disppointing considering this is normally 12 euors- we had smiled nicely and managed to get it included free when we booked!breakfast was served 6.30am-10am, on the first morning we were down there for 9am and the hot food (bacon, fried potatoes and scrambled eggs) had almost all gone. the lady did bring more out but not til we were finished! there was a choice of 2 cereals:chocolate flakesd and cornflakes, hams and cheeses, yogurts and eggs 9which you boil yourslef in a little machine!)there was also tinned fruit but this really did look quite unappetising, i am used to having fresh fruit for breakfast! a basket of bread was brought to each table and there were jams. the food quality was fine there just did not seem to beenough provided at one time considering the hotel was quite busy.

the hotel has an excellent website www.hotelfrancealbion.com which has an English section.
