This warm and inviting hotel considers each guest a \"friend of the house.\" You\'ll be warmly welcomed and happily served in a very special atmosphere of locally crafted furnishings and antique artwork. The secret harmony between town, scenery and a long tradition of hospitality is revealed here. Comfort and service however are directed towards the future and the hotel tries to accomodate all needs and wishes of its guests. Guests from all over the world meet in the Baroque style hotel lounge, the \"Ratsherrnstube\" or the elegant Cafe \"Blaue Terrasse\". Some share experiences. ..., there is a famous festival in Salzburg (it became well-known and connected to the name of maesto Herbert von Karajan) which offers a series of excellent events (classical music concerts, opera, ballet, theater, including the famous open-air performance of 'Jedermann').
GENERAL INFORMATION
There is an international airport in Salzburg (SZG), and there are a few daily scheduled flights (Ryanair) from London; otherwise you best fly via Amsterdam, Zurich or Frankfurt. By car or train from Munich (100 km) or from Vienna (300 km) is another option.
There are many hotels in all pricing categories as well as many restaurants in and around Salzburg. Prices are much higher in August during the festival season, where it is often impossible to find a free room.

Enjoy.

No visit to Salzburg would be complete without paying homage to Mozart in some way: visit these buildings or take in a concert of his everlasting music. We went to the birthplace and enjoyed the many levels giving a glimpse into the way life was in Salzburg in the 1700s. Well worth a visit, stay for lunch in the café - recommended.
