Advantages: Friendly staff and atmosphere, Clean and well managed, lovely food Disadvantages: could maybe have more evening entertainment at the bar
the side of the hotel, but we didnt hear too much from the road, which was good. The pool was clean and well kept. We didnt have an issue with the 5 euro charge as you were provided with a towel which was changed if it got wet, and it also prevented, sunbed hogging, which was very good. Again the staff were very friendly and there was always a life guardaround the pool. Overall i would reccomend this hotel as a great destination for if staying in Sorrento. It is 1/2 mile from the main strip which is good, as you feel in the town, but not too noisy. Excellent, and will be booking again next year ...
Advantages: Great sights, proffesional, good service, clean Disadvantages: Quite expensive
Sorrento was one of the most beautiful places i have ever visited in my life. My family and I decided to go to the south of Italy for pure pleasure and to enjoy the civillians of Sorrento's loving and welcoming nature.
The hotel we picked was spot on - not in a busy, touristy packed resort but in a place where we could relax a bit and enjoy the scenery of the beautiful town of Sorrento. It also isn't long walk from the town centre depending on how much you like to walk!
This Hilton hotel was one of the last places we picked to have a look at (probably because Paris Hilton came into our minds!), but we booked it in the end because of the quality of the hotel based on reviews.
The prices are a bit high, it all depends on the budget your planning to spend. On www.lastminute.com, the room prices are £146 - £310. The prices vary ...
Advantages: Amazing views Disadvantages: Not in town center - although this isn't necessarily a disadvantage!
My family and I have now stayed at Johanna Park Hotel twice. Once in June 2005 and again in June 2008. This hotel is simply excellent. Johanna and her fantastic staff make you feel right at home and couldn't be more helpful. It's like no other hotel experience I've had - it's as if you're staying with relatives rather than hoteliers.
We drove to get to this hotel as we'd rented a car in Rome. Also we had a map to provide directions. The drive through to Sorrento is beautiful, so I'd highly recommend doing so. The traffic is as you'd expect at rush hour but for the most part rather good. The shuttle bus will collect you from town if you do not already have a coach to take you. The drive up from the centre of town is steep and walking would be mad - the road is windy so you're not clear to cars. Taxis are quite expensive in the evening ...
