...Centrally loacted, the hotel is very close to numerous recreational and commercial places. In fact, Pan Pacific Singapore is within walking distance of many of Singapore's historic landmarks, such as the Padang, stage to some of the most significant national events, the Cenotaph and the commemorative landing site of Sir Stamford Raffles - founder of modern Singapore. It is also close to Singapore's historic, cultural and entertainment areas, such as CHIJMES, the Boat Quay, Clarke Quay, Robertson Walk and the new Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay. The hotel is also connected to Millenia Walk and Suntec City shopping complexes.
You must try the Hai Tien Lo for exquisite Cantonese, Keyaki Japanese restaurant for authentic Japanese food. Its amazing!!

Advantages: Good central location Disadvantages: None
...We have stayed here a couple of times on airline stopovers, as part of the all-in deal.
The hotel's name is due to that fact that it was originally two hotels which they knocked into one, and kept both names. For this reason it is housed in two tall twin towers.
It's a big hotel with 580 rooms, and is busy all the time. Everything ran smoothly with our stay, and there was no problem with the room, which was completely normal, comfortable, and unremarkable for a hotel of that type - a medium priced range big city Singaporehotel. En suite - tea and coffee making - TV, aircon, etc....
The hotel has a wide range of facilities as you'd expect, including laundry service, moneychanger, etc. One interesting aspect of the hotel is the swimming pool. It is off the foyer, and is glass sided so you can see the people swimming as you sit...

Advantages: High quality rooms and facilities, good value for money Disadvantages: Some way from the main attractions

It was wonderful after a long flight to zip straight out of the airport and arrive at the hotel in minutes, being welcomed by a courteous doorman, and entering into a cool, cavernous, marble lobby. Like most places in Singapore this was impressively spotless, with some chic leather sofas and a gaggle of efficient porters and receptionists.
The room was equally as welcoming and pristine, and seemed to have been recently furbished. The only downside was the size. As we were a party of three, they had squeezed a camp bed in between the regular twins, which made...

I have stayed in a few Singapore hotels, and generally the standard is extremely good, so I was surprised to be so disappointed with The Miramar. I chose it because I was on a stopover and got a cheap deal. As I have seen the sights of Sing before,... more
