Hotel Green Park, Visakhapatnam

Advantages: Good location
Disadvantages: Overpriced, poor food, poor rooms

...The Kensington Hilton is a slight misnomer as it is closer to Holland Park. It is easy to find, just off the motorway. The underground car park is not owned by Hilton, but you can get a discount coupon from reception if you are resident. The exterior and lobby are very impressive, with green coated doormen and at least two people manning the concierge desk at all times. Rooms however are a big disappointment. Small and cramped, often with just a shower and no bath. Room service meals are poor, clearly prepared by porters rather than chefs. There is a Japanese restaurant attached to the hotel, and the bar offers snacks. The whole hotel gives the impression that it was last overhauled in the early eighties and it could do with a large investment to bring it up to scratch. ...My husband and I stayed here a year or so ago, he took me for a surprise weekend away and I was very impressed with the hotel. He firstly choose De vere's as they are known to have very nice, luxury hotels at quite good prices in good locations. This location was fantastic. At first though I must admit I was a bit disappointed because looking at the photograph of the hotel you expect it to have a lovely huge green area in front of it but that is actually the park next to the hotel. The hotel is situated right in the town and not really surrounded by green area at all as the photo suggests but never mind, it did not put us off. The location like I said was in town, just a short walk down the road (Regent Street) to all the shops and restaurants so after a great day sightseeing etc it did not take long to get back "home". Advantages: Nice well appointed hotel

...Paramount have a lovely stock of hotels and their website is pretty user friendly too! at: http://www.paramount-hotels.co.uk/ So when we visit England we love to book a good quality hotel with a good range of amenities and outlook, so it was with the Cheltenham park hotel. Ths hotel looks lovely on the website but is a little less grand in person, that is not to say that we didn't enjoy the stay but just to forewarn you that the pictures are a little nicer than the reality. Having said that, the hotel itself is very comfortable and convenient, being about 2 miles out of the town on a main arterial road. The hotel has a lovely green area at the back where you can wonder around aimlessly and admire the river or feed the ducks.
