district. Surrounded by parkland, with Lake Geneva and the Alps visible in the distance, the hotel is close to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum and the United Nations Office. Old Town, the Ariana Museum and the Botanical Gardens are also nearby. You?ll sense the harmony that exists in nature in Woods, a contemporary restaurant offering contemporary cuisine. A wood block sculpture table greets you at the entrance, and a graceful wooden arch and wine cellar divide the space into a relaxed salon and a more formal dining room. Chef Didier Quesnel honours his seasonal ingredients by continually discovering new ways to charm the palate with light, fresh creations. In Hotel - Lobby Floor Les Nations is a library-style lounge filled with a large selection of books, a variety of magazines and, of course, an elegant bar. Guests settle into comfy leather couches to listen to live piano music as they sip after-work or before-dinner cocktails. A table d?hôte for up to 10 is the perfect spot for a casual business lunch or drinks with friends.
Advantages: Lots to do, nice atmosphere Disadvantages: Hotels are rather expensive
...My husband & I visited Geneva last month & loved it. It's just such a big city with so much to do. We went to the Reformation museum & Red Cross museum, but there are also art museums, a watch museum and others. Cathedral is worth a visit- we went to a concert in it which was a great experience. Also visited some sights to do with Jean Calvin the Christian reformer - such as the Reformation Wall. Went on a cruise on Lake Geneva which was lovely. Make sure you take a swimming cossie too cos at "Geneve Plage" there are outdoor pools and a section of the lake that you can swim in if you want. The tram is a good way to get around the city. A little further out are the alps which you can visit by coach.
Hotels & restaurants can tend to be a bit pricey, but we stayed in "Hotel Central" which is reasonably priced and a nice hotel.

Advantages: Londoners perspective: beautiful, clean, orderly and different Disadvantages: Londoners perspective: Expensive (yes even for me!)and a little small and quiet
...cheaper is cigarettes and because Switzerland’s not part of the EU you can still buy duty free (hurrah!).
Accomodation
I have been lucky in that every time I visit Geneva my friend has accomodated me for free! But I am assured by the tourist guides that there is a good range of low to medium cost accomodation as well as the awe-inspringly expensive hotels catering to diplomats and the seriously loaded. There is a hotel reservation service on 022 909 70 20.
Sightseeing
In terms of sightseeing Geneva hasn’t got as much to offer as say Paris or Rome. But there are several attractions. The Cathedrale St-Pierre dominates the Old Town and it is well worth paying a couple of francs to climb to the top. The spiral stairs are quite strenuous but on a clear day you get a stunning view of the city and lake. The cathedral is closed for an hour...

...We've just got home from a week travelling across Switzerland by train. Our first night was in Geneva at this hotel. It was quite easy to find from the railway station - we used the map from the website, and also noticed one or two signposts along the way. I think the walk took about five minutes. The hotel is in a slightly run down area of the city. There was a cafe across the road, and a chinese restaurant next door. Next door but one was a karaoke bar - though we didn't actually hear anything from this.
Breakfast was not included in the price we paid, CHF 134 for a double room, as we felt that an extra CHF 14 (about £6.50) each for a cold buffet was expensive.
The room was alright, nothing special. It had two single beds pushed together, and a small ensuite shower room. It was all clean. As we only stayed one night I couldn't say...

My impressions of this game when I saw it advertised on the internet was that it looked like a completely different type of game that I'm used to seeing for the DS.
