Fabulous Views for a fabulous place
Advantages: Overlooks Sydney Harbour, 12km from airport, Views of the Sydney Opera House, Disadvantages: Expensive! (But it is definitely worth it!)
...and said WOW because this hotel looked amazing, and that explains the price.

Safes, hairdryers, ironing board, ... ...have ever stayed in a hotel with seperate bath and shower!!!!
It was amazing. The hotel is stylish yet elegant, the indoor swimming pool was on the top floor of the hotel with panoromic views of Sydney Opera House and the harbour.

As soon as we pulled up in the coach from the airport, we both looked at each other and said WOW because this hotel looked amazing, and that explains the price.

We stayed in the Guest rooms for our two week stay and we were pretty sure it was bigger than our flat! It was the most luxurious hotel room I have ever stayed in.
Safes, hairdryers, ironing board, chaise longue and towels were provided and lots more. Even a shower and seperate bath. I have never in my whole life (most of it spent abroad) have ever stayed in a hotel with seperate bath and shower!!!!

The hotel has also got a buisness reputation with conference rooms and suites dotted around the complex. Along with the tough buisness work there were unwinding day spas and a beauty salon to compliment this.
In the hotel there were a few restuarants and bars, one in a specified area, like a coutyard which was ideal for a meal and a fine glass of Australian wine. The menu was in depth and had some mouth waterings dishes on it.
Other bars were also dotted around this hotel.
I will definitely visit this hotel again, in a few years time after I have finished exploring the rest of this HUGE country!
Advantages: Luxurious rooms, great views, helpful staff, great location Disadvantages: Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
...useful.
Breakfast at the hotel is nice but expensive. Alternatively walk down the hill to Circular Quay and have a full English at one of the Al Fresco cafes, before going for a cruise around Port Jackson, or wherever your fancy takes you.
Dinner at the InterContinental is also not cheap, but very good, seafood, steaks, etc., served with a smile, and any quirky extras you may require (Heinz Ketchup, English Mustard, etc.).
Basically what we are ... ...view anyway. The hotel could not have been more helpful with hairdos, bouquets, laundry, taxis, organising the reception, etc.
But to put it into perspective, we are going back to Sydney in July, and will be staying at the InterContinental. I travel extensively in my work, and I hate cheap/nasty hotels, so I know this one is OK.
Blimey, I should be on commission... ...

Advantages: Great Tourist Attractions, Nice Beaches, Hot, Cheaper in some places than the UK Disadvantages: Long Flight, Not easy to get around
Since I was a teenager I had always wanted to tour Australia, and finally as I hit 18 I booked my first visit to Sydney. From the minute I stepped on Emirates Airlines I was satisfied. It was a fabulous, unforgettable experience.
I flew from London Heathrow to Sydney and spent three weeks staying in HotelInterContinentalSydney, which was probably the most expensive but luxiourus hotel I have ever stayed in. I spent the first two or three days relaxing at the hotel, going to it's gym, the pool and having a look around the city.
We spent the time looking at the tourist attractions, including The Sydney Opera House, where we dined and watch a production, which was absoultey spectacular, we did a Captain Cook Dinner cruise around the Sydney harbour which had a tasty menu, which we enjoyed and ofcourse I could not leave Sydney ...
