I recently went on a cultural girlie trip with a friend to Paris. I was left to do all the booking. I was looking for a reasonable hotel, near a metro stop, which included breakfast. I came across the Hotel International on various travel sites and it seemed fairly highly rated so I booked us in for three nights.
LOCATION:
The hotel is located 6 Rue Auguste Barbier in the 11th Arrondissement. The nearest Metro stop is Garcourt which was a two minute walk away and it was a five minute walk to Republique which gives good links to other lines. It's not really central enough to avoid the Metro and walk to the attractions but it was located so close to a stop that it seemed ideal.
PRICE:
Prices vary depending on size of room and season. There are singles, doubles and triples available. We paid Euro254 for the whole time ...
Advantages: Out of the town Disadvantages: Too many people!
I'm glad that I did not get to read any of the reviews before I went to this hotel, or see the Holidays from Hell programme the night before!

This did not deter us as we ...
Advantages: Good menu, excellent food, nice atmosphere Disadvantages: waiters average, can get bit crowded
Bella Italia, formerly known as Bella Pasta is a chain of Italian Restaurants, about 60 odd, throughout the country.
I visited this restaurant last week with my fiancée while out shopping in Milton Keynes. The restaurant is located near the shops with pubs and other restaurants next to it.
Appearance
---------------
On walking through the doors, you are greeted with a two level restaurant, actually very large, it could probably fit between 80 and 100 people in it! The décor was very nice and well kept, in an Italian style, all brown and beige colours. We noticed that the kitchen is open view in the diner so that you can see the chefs cooking which is an excellent thing - provides safe knowledge of food and adds character to the restaurant.
They also had quiet music on in the background which wasn't too harsh. The tables were ...
