Advantages: Well located, friendly staff, spacious rooms Disadvantages: Evening meal could've been better
It's been a while since I wrote a review and I had said to myself that I would wait until after my holiday to put fingers to keyboard once again. After sunning ourselves for 2 weeks in Magaluf, Majorca it's taken me a while to get back into the swing of everyday life in Blighty but I think I'm almost there (worst luck).
Well it's been almost a week since we got back and so I thought it was about time I put my review writing cap on once again and what better to review than the hotel we stayed in on our holiday.
The Don JuanHotel is part of the Hoteles Saint Michel group and is a 3 star hotel situated in the quieter area of Magaluf. It was built in 1972 and extensively renovated during the winter of 1999 and has 182 rooms in total (161 twins and 21 single) which stretch over seven floors.
We had booked our 10 day holiday through ...
Advantages: close to beach Disadvantages: Can be noisy at night
I thought I would let people know what I thought of this hotel. I work in the Travel Trade so I can be quite critical!!! Well here we go -
************LOCATION***********
This 3* Hotel is only about 400 metres from the beach and is about 500m the heart of Magaluf (a seriously lively resort)on the south west coast of Majorca. Its is not too far from Palma, about 20km and the same to the airport. The transfer took us about 45 mins. It could be shorter or longer, depending on wre you are on the list to be dropped off.
**********ROOMS********
Our room was on the 4th of 7 floors. It was centrally heated (although thank goodness it wasn't on). On a negative it didn't have airconditioning and I would say that it was a bit dated. The bathroom was bright and had a bath with shower. there was a safety deposit box, direct dial telephone ...
Advantages: Located within the business district and ideal for airport Disadvantages: Nightlife is a good taxi ride away
