Advantages: Great transportation links Disadvantages: none
When trying to decide on a hotel for our trip to Hong Kong we did a lot of research and opted for the Metro Park Hotel in Causeway bay rather than its sister hotel in Kowloon. This was mainly due to its location in a quieter part of town and its superb transport links. The hotel is roughly three quarters of an hour from the airport and the bus to the airport stops at the door of the hotel, as our transport was included we did not use that option. It is well located too with the MTR station being just along the road, the trams passing the end of the road and the bus to Stanley also just a short walk away. The hotel also runs free transport to Causeway Bay shopping area and also Wan Chai for the conference centre and star ferry.
The hotel has car parking on the ground floor and you enter the reception on the first floor by lift ...
Advantages: Friendly; nice rooms; breakfast; location Disadvantages: Location (if you like being in the city centre)
Possibly the strangest name for a hotel I've come across; the Kong Arthur, we read before arriving, was a knights-of-the-round-table-themed hotel ('Kong' being Danish for 'King' which naturally got me wondering if King Kong was released in Denamrk as KongKong). I have to say right from the start that this wasn't the reason for our staying - I hadn't planned to don any armour and have Mel play the maiden in distress, and from the photos on the website the theme didn't seem to be one that was particularly evident.
Anyway, situated around 10 minutes walk from the Norreport metro station, which itself is reached in about 15 minutes from the airport, the location could hardly be better. Copenhagen is compact, and walking to the centre is a pleasure. Cycling there even more so. Tivoli is a 20 minute wander; the end of the Stroget the same ...
Advantages: 4 star luxary, excellent breakfest, cheap deals if booked early Disadvantages: smallish sized room
So here we are traveling the globe and the Scandinavian is without doubt the most expensive for hostels and we were really struggling to find a hostel in central Copenhagen until my girlfriend stumbled upon this excellent hotel which worked out to be only a couple of pounds more expensive then the hostels in the area - but this one has of course a four star luxury status!
The hotel is within easy walking distance of the city centre and of course a local metro stop which connects directly to the local airport. We made the short journey and located the street that the hostel was on easily. The hotel stood out on this quiet street as we arrived at 9pm and there was no one walking the streets and only one building as lit up - this was the phoenix.
The hotel entrance is grand with a water feature in the middle of reception and its have ...

Manufacturer's product description
Hotel Kong Frederik is a four-star deluxe hotel with a unique atmosphere. The hotel was given its current name in 1898. However, the hotel dates back much further. There have been inns, pubs and hotels on the site since the 14th century, which gives the hotel centuries of tradition when it comes to making the customers feel at home. The Hotel Kong Frederik was built before the age of standardisation and building modules, which means no two rooms are exactly alike. The hotel is located in the centre of Copenhagen, two minutes walk from the town hall square and the entrance to Tivoli gardens. Hotel Kong Frederik extends complimentary access to the luxurious Spa and Fitness facility at the sister hotel, Hotel D\\\'Angleterre, to all resident guests.
