Hotel Le Hérou, La Roche-en-Ardenne

Advantages: Elegant, Beautiful and very relaxing
Disadvantages: The cost of the treatments can mount quickly.

...A couple of years ago, my parents were trying to decide what to get me for my birthday, and decide to treat me to a stay at Le Spa. My friend who lives in the area and is a member of Le Spa's Gym decided to spend the day having treatments with me. I was advised to arrive at the hotel at 9am to book in for my treatments whilst having a relaxing cup of tea. During which time, my luggage would be taken to my room and the booking in forms would be delivered to me during lunch. Cool, I thought no rushing around with checking in and booking treatments before everything was fully booked. I duly arrived at 9am, and headed for the entrance. The door was locked, with a note up saying Le Spa would be open at 10am. Intriguing seen as I was told to arrive at 9am. I had a look around for another entrance or someone to ask about the mix up... Advantages: Style without too much cost

...doors banging or unacceptable behaviour. The hotel did not make us feel discouraged from having a good time, just to show polite consideration for other guests - nothing whatsoever wrong with that - if you can't manage it then stay somewhere else. Checkout was 11am but the hotel was happy to look after our luggage for the handful of us who wanted to spend a few more hours exploring I wouldn't hesitate to take a young family to this hotel or mixed group or enquire about single group bookings. Not sure if it was the best place for a hen party but was great fun never the less!!! All round - 10 out of 10. A great choice. Advantages: Comfortable hotel, laid back surroundings, good for non-swimmers
Disadvantages: poor telephone service

...The Hotel Condessa de la Bahia is part of the Mar Hotels chain, who offer, good, clean and comfortable rooms. This particular hotel is in the middle of Alcudia on a 7km stretch of pure golden sandy beach. The hotel lays directly on the sea front, so is ideal for those who want a beach holiday. The Hotel has 5 floors which is served by 2 lifts. The staff are very friendly and all staff speak English. Prices in the hotel are very reasonable - a large pina colada will set you back only 750PTE (under £3). A buffet breakfast and dinner is served with very flexible hours. I had one vegetarian guest with me and he was very well catered for. A full entertainment programme is available in High Season from end June onwards with activities during the day for all the family. The evenings enterainment is carried out on stage at the back...
