Advantages: An unforgetable experience... Disadvantages: none.
...I was born in Ontario, but moved to Montreal when I was 5 and remained there for over 30 years...
My experiences, as a native, are vast... and I could write a review on every single site, but I chose to review St. Joseph's Oratory because it has always held a special place within my heart. I was 6 or 7 the very first time I visited St. Joseph's... a tiny country girl in a very big city.
St. Joseph's Oratory was built atop Mount Royal in 1904, with the original structure being a simple chapel built in honour of St. Joseph. The founder was Brother Andre, a man who devoted his entire life to the sick and handicapped, and who possessed the miraculous power of healing. He was, because of this ability, called the Miracle-Worker of Mount Royal.

"A bilingual nation, Canada mandates that most services and communications be provided to all situations in both official languages."

"Une nation bilingue, Canada exige que la plupart des services et communicatons soient fournis a tous les citoyens dans le deux langues officelles, meme si une de ces langues est une insulte a notre heritage et merite d'etre interdite dans tout le Quebec."

There is a part of Montreal which is not as young as the rest of it. A place where the buildings are older than any others in the city. Never one to miss up on an opportunity, the Canadians named it "Old Montreal". With the creation of this place, Canada now has the global monopoly on places named after exactly what they are, as they also have "The Underground City", which is a city...

...Odd place, very stiff and unfriendly management plus extremely expensive for such a place. Close to beautiful countryside and interesting topography, but actually this hotel is in the middle of nowhere - you will have to drive and drive to find other places to visit and the pool at the hotel in not so good as to want to stay by it all day.
The food is good, but again the service is so odd and stiff that the experience is not enjoyable. There is no warmth in the hotel or the restaurant and the money when added up makes guests grumble. We saw many guests in their cars scrutinising their bills and looking as unhappy as we were!
Give it a miss and use your money better at another hotel....
