Hotel Manoir Victoria, Quebec City

Advantages: Great location, good facilities, clean spacious rooms
Disadvantages: None - although satisfaction may depend on how much you pay

...I stayed in this hotel last summer for three nights during a trip across Quebec province with a friend. Usually our budget does not stretch as far as such a delightful hotel but we managed to pick up a great deal, which is the first good point about this hotel. The hotel was exceptionally easy to find and well located within the city, within easy walking distance of the old town. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, clean and well thought out. The bathroom was particularly nice, and perfect for relaxing. We were also lucky enough to have a fantastic view across the city from the room. The gym and pool were also excellent, and the hotel bar very accommodating. Staff were always polite and helpful. In short I have nothing negative to say about this hotel, and I would recommend anyone to stay here during their stay... Read review

Advantages: Luxurious hotel in the centre of Leeds
Disadvantages: Very slow room service and small car park

...Quebecs We always go away at the beginning of December, and because it's only for one night, it's best if we go somewhere close to home (Newcastle). This time, we decided on Leeds because the last time we had visited, the shopping was good, and the bars and restaurants varied and plentiful. I wanted a reasonably nice hotel because returning back foot weary7 after a day shopping can be a tad unpleasant if the awaiting room/hotel isn't very good. A few searches found me this place which was just what we were looking for, it being not overly big, and not overtly part of a large chain; there are other hotels in the group but it doesn't appear in every city in the same format. The Eton Collection, which is the group Quebecs belongs to is described as "luxury boutique hotels and two restaurants" which are found in London, Leeds... Read review

Advantages: pretty, clean, great value and relaxing!
Disadvantages: not enough time in the day to enjoy it!

...My wife and I knew that from the first day we set foot on Victoria, wow, we want to live here. To a visitor Victoria wouldn’t be much unless you had a good map and knew where to go(you can’t get lost). The focal point of Victoria is the inner harbour as it’s the heart of the city. This is great on summer evenings – you can hear music, the calm water, the well lit parliament building, pretty hanging baskets…truly a great experience in such a short space. Near this spot is Government Street. Here you have a quiet street with plenty of seating and unique stores. The restaurants are great. The Cheesecake café is a must see. If you want to see a mall…the newly named Bay Centre is on Government st too…For a multi level mall, it hides well and does not impose itself on the smaller stores.
