There is a golf course approximately 23 kilometres drive away and Malaga Airport is 45 kilometres from the hotel, around 40 minutes by car.Recreation:The restaurant of the hotel offers breakfast (with Spanish champagne) starting 8 am during the winter season until 10 am. Half board and full board service is available here. Lunch is served from 1 pm until 3 pm and dinner 18:30 until 22:00. During the summertime all these durations are extended half an hour both ways, excluding the starting time of dinner which is always 18:30. Spain's Costa del Sol has been a sunshine playground for getting on 50 years and is still one of the best loved places for sun, sea and sand in mainland Europe. Coming from a series of fishing villages, the coastal towns developed wildly and some would say too much, and a correction in the last 10 or so years has seen efforts to demolish some of the overcrowded 2-star type accommodation in favour of lower density but premium premises.
As well as the hotels for the short stay visitor and the villas and apartments for the longer stay guest, there is a demand for a cross between the two, and this demand is the reason for the Marriott Playa Andaluza, a Marriott Vacation Club property.
Whisper it quietly (the words are not welcome) but there are elements of timeshare here. You can buy the right to use one...

...Me and my family stayed here a few years ago. You can't fault this hotel
for luxury. After all it's a 5 star hotel. The rooms are spacious, it has a
large open air pool with plenty of sun loungers. There are 2 restaurants
which offer a variety of choices. However prices are high, and a better
option would be to drive to Marbella about 10 minutes away. You will
be spoilt for choices with an array of cuisines catered for.
One downside if you don't have a car you have to take Taxi's everywhere which could be costly if traveling longer distances. A feature of the hotel is the cabane which is a 5 minute drive away, with regular shuttle buses to take you there. Here you can relax away from the crowds on your private stretch of beach or by the swimming pool. Full size beds will have to be booked in advance and sun beds are available...
