...I have staying the Dart Marina three times now and I feel I need to share my experience with you. Lets put it simply the start with, the hotel is brilliant. There is no other word to describe it. It is right on the seafront and within a pleasurable walking range to Dartmouth. It has outstanding views across the sea with regular yaughts coming into the marina. The team of staff are friendly, helpful and see to your every need. The chef, who I have met, is a brilliant cook and has produced several different and amazing dishes from local produce each time I have been there. The rooms are immaculate and stylish with TV, radio, en-suite and several complimentary items. The facilities, which include a spa, swimming pool and gym, are state of the art and enjoyable to use. ...The Plaka Hotel is a real find. It is ideally situated at the foot of the Acropolis and is amongst ,or within easy walking distance, of many of Athens attractions. It is on the corner of a small side street just a hundred yards or so from the metro station that is at the end of the line from the airport. Some bedrooms do have a direct view to the Acropolis.
The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and the accomodation is generally clean and modern. Our room was quite small but not so much that it was a problem. There was an adequate amount of storage space. The bathroom was small and a bit dated but ok, considering the price! We paid £33 a night for a double room with breakfast and thought this was a real bargain. Make sure you compare sites for prices as they vary considerably.

...roads in and out of Athens, because of the excellent sound proofing of the hotel, you can hardly hear anything. Now if you decide to take a walk on Syngrou Avenue at night it will be a great experience as you'll meet all sorts of people from the rich coming out from them expensive cars going into fancy restaurants and night clubs, to simple people going into cafeterias or even street walkers trying to find a costumer. On the left hand side you can see the Olympic Stadium of basketball and indoor activities, the Piraeus Port and a bit further is visible the Flisvos Boat Marina. You can also see the remains of the old Athens Hippodrome. Looking over the horizon, there is Attika Mountain range, witch surrounds Athens.
