Advantages: The luxury Disadvantages: None that I could see
...-equipped gym and a beauty salon offering massage services. (I must say I didn't use these but got speaking to a couple who raved about the massages).
***********ROOMS************
Of the 347 rooms, 9 are suites that are out of this world. In particular, it has the suite known as El Reloj. This is a luxurious two-storey room with amazing views over the architectural complex of Plaza España and Montjuïc (sorry to say I didn't stay in it !!!).
However I cann't complain about my room. It had air-conditioning, a direct phone line, a beautiful marble bathroom with a hairdryer, a satellite TV (you can get pay-per-view films), a mini-bar (TIP - bring your own drinks into the hotel as the mini-bar costs a fortune), a safe and even Wi-Fi Internet access if I needed it !!!!

Advantages: close to the beach Disadvantages: service poor.

Advantages: Away from busy streets, sea frontage Disadvantages: Away from main district
...The Westin Philippine PlazaHotel where I stayed for a few weeks on my trip to Manila last year, offers quite a good location compared to the other hotels in this capital city. It is located away from the hustle and bustle of the very grimy city centre close to the memorial park and Cultural centre. It also has the added advantage of facing the waterfront which means you get a nice view from your balcony. the room is fairly spacious and comfortable, with about 100 tv channels to choose from. The business centre also has internet facilities at US$8 per hour. The hotel's facilities include, a coffee house, an Italian restaurant, Chinese Restaurant and Disco cum bar. It has the regular sporting facilities plus the added attraction of a golf driving range. Well, no ordinary driving range, but one where you hit a ball right into the sea, ahead...
