My husband,myself and our two children have been to Ibiza once before and fell in love with the island, we stayed in the quieter resort of Es Cana and really enjoyed our holiday. After that we decided to return this time taking my parents with us, we chose the Hotel Miami for its location and family friendly reputation, it is also a 3 star hotel which we thought was even better as my parents were used to stopping in 4 star Hotels (adult only ones). We booked through First Choice and arrived in Es Cana in June 2005. Our first impressions of the hotel were good.
#ROOMS# Our rooms were adequate and clean with a TV, air con and plenty of storage. The maids cleaned our rooms and changed towels daily and bed linen once a week. In my opinion the only reason this hotel has its 3 star rating is because the rooms have air con and a TV.
#RESTAURANT# We stayed half board and found the food to be below average,the waiters and restaurant staff were rude and unhelpful leaving dirty plates to pile up on tables and leaving drinks machines empty for long periods of time. If you asked them for any assistance they would grunt giving you the feeling you were the one being rude! The hotel was spotless thanks to the cleaners, except for the restaurant area, tablecloths were turned over rather than replaced and food was left on chairs from previous guests.
#POOL# Now onto the pool, this wasn't really big enough to accomodate for the amount of guests staying at the hotel and the 'shallow end' was still too deep for my 8 year old to swim in safely. The pool is divided into three sections, one is like a paddling pool for toddlers and babies, one is medium sized probably aimed at young swimmers but is still rather deep and the other is bigger and deeper. There was the usual fight for towels on sunbeds which you come to expect and staff ignored this completely. I saw the pool being cleaned most mornings whilst everyone was having breakfast.
#OVERALL# The only real benefits of this hotel is the space and cleanliness of the rooms and its location, its practically on the beach. I would definetly recommend Es Cana and Ibiza as it's a great location for families and couples alike, but I would find a better hotel to stay in than this one.

we wnt to Es Cana and it was very nice resort shame about this place though!

I stayed in this hotel and found the service exceptional for a three star. if you want a five star hotel get your hand in your pocket and pay for it!

Good review, looking for a holiday at the moment and this hotel won't be on my list. Don't they realise that the poor service will drive their custom away? N.x
