Myself and my boyfriend stayed in this hotel last year for 10 days in June/July. My boyfriend had been to Es Cana before and said it was perfect for a young couple, enough to do but not too hectic!
We booked the hotel through First Choice Holidays. Won't go into them too much, but we were very satisfied with the service/flights/transfers etc. The only thing was, when we booked we were told they only had sea view rooms left so we had to pay the supplement (thought this was a bit mean considering we hadn't actually requested a sea view room!).
The hotel's about an hour's transfer from the airport but I quite enjoy having a nose at the other hotels, and we had a really comfortable air-conditioned coach.
When we arrived at our hotel, it was mid-morning and our room wasn't quite ready (which is to be expected) but the reception staff were very friendly and told us to come back at about 1. We put our luggage in the locked room and explored the local area. As promised, our room was ready when we returned. It was spotless, the sheets and towels were clean and the floor and balcony were free of sand! We had a double bed, plenty of wardrobe and draw space, and the bathroom was spacious with a shower and a bath.
Sure enough, our room had a sea view which we were quite glad we had paid for after all! We had patio chairs and tables on the balcony, which was a comfortable size for 2 people. We also had a view over the pool, so we could hear the daytime entertainment if we were in having a siesta, but it wasn't that loud and didn't bother us. We were out every night so weren't kept awake by the evening entertainment.
Our room was cleaned every day without fail, even the days when we didn't get up and out until 1 o'clock! We had clean towels every day and they changed our bedding twice a week. We saved up our change and left it for the cleaners at the end. We didn't see the cleaners much, but when we did they were very friendly.
The pool was an average size, but always nice and clean. It was quite busy with kids and the sunbeds filled up early, but only really what's expected at a family friendly hotel!
We stayed half board, so had breakfast and dinner available every day. I'd say we probably made it up for breakfast about half the time we were there, but there was always a good selection and the restaurant was big so we didn't have to wait for a table. We also didn't eat dinner there every night, but when we did the food was reasonable, some nights were better than others, but there was usually quite a good selection, and they did themed nights a few times a week.
The location was brilliant - it was a 5 minute walk around the beach to the main part of Es Cana, which had loads of restaurants, shops and bars. It's perfect for young couples - there are plenty of good bars open til the early hours, but its not too rowdy like the middle of San Antonio! The hotel entertainment wasn't great, and the drinks were quite expensive, but there were so many other places to go, it didn't bother us. The beach was really nice and clean with loads of sunbeds, but watch out for the mini jellyfish! It's really romantic as well, with nice cosy restaurants along the beach and a really tasty chinese! We had brilliant weather the whole time, and watched the sunset on the beach a couple of times.
I would definately recommend this hotel and resort. We had such a great time, and I wouldn't hesitate to return. Its really good value for money - we went just before the main season, and booked it a year in advance, it cost around £700 each, but you could probably get it cheaper on a late deal.

Good review. I always struggle to find resorts for me and my boyfriend as we are a young couple, because you want somewhere lively but not to much in your face. This sounds really good x
