I decided I would take my wife and baby to Ibiza this year and we decided between us that we would stay in the Hotel Miami. It is a 3 Star hotel and I must say this is under rated but it saves us money so there we go.
TRAVEL COMPANY. I won`t go into too much detail as I am reviewing the hotel. We tarvelled with Direct Holidays and they were excellent throughout and are now known as M.Y. Travel.
TIME FROM AIRPORT TO HOTEL It takes about 30mins to get from Ibiza Airport to Es Cana and the Miami. However if you are on a coach load of people you are likely to be one of the last drops and should expect to spend over an hour on the coach. This could be advantagous for sight seeing for free.
HOTEL PRESENTATION On arrival the Hotel stands very prettyly infront with very clean and well kept appearance you just know that you
are going to be looked after. Like most hotels in Ibiza the walls are white and recently painted and the front is glass and well polished so you can admire yourself on the way in!
RECEPTION The reception is a nice mohogany wood and the staff are very effecient and well mannered. They are also very helpful and have a good knowledge of the English Language. Very spacious and 4 new PCs to play games or surf the net!
LIFTS The lifts are ok and efficient. However the sensors were a bit dodgy and the doors try and shut on you if you are last in but they bounce back when they brush you so no damage there,
ROOM The rooms are immaculate and cleaned to a high standard every single day. With fresh towels and bed linen for a comfortable stay.Also all rooms are air conditioned to your prefered temperature. Our room had two double beds and a lovely little cot for baby. Lots of wardrobe space and bedside cabinents. And if for some reason you don`t like your room they will move you to a more suitable one with no fuss!!
BATHROOM Very clean and modern. White in colour with a sani flow toilet, a sink, bath, shower and a beedai (spelt wrong but you know what i mean) You was your feet in it!!!!! On a serious note though very clean and tidy.
BALCONY Enough space for the three of us with the standard table and chairs and a great view to the pool, the bar and the beach and sea. Beautiful!
RESTAURANT The restaurant is excellent and a buffet style. If they aint got it you cant eat it. The food is English in style for us and also German, Spanish and French. Also they have them days were they cook Mexican etc. The best restaurant i have been in in a 3 stars hotel. The waiters and waitresses are very well presented and although their English is enough to get by they are very polite and efficient.
SWIMMING POOL The pool is great but a bit cold at first. There is a baby pool, a kids pool and a big pool all attached by narrow walkways. Excellent.
DAYTIME ENTERTAINMENT There is always something to do in the day. Tobi will play volleyball, table tennis, darts, pool, french balls etc with a little help from Boris with prizes for the winners daily and Raquel will look after the kids and take them to the beach for a spot of sandcastle builing and fishing!
DISTANCE TO BEACH. The beach is literally next to the hotel. Leave through the back gate next to the pool and you are on a mass of golden sand and blue sea. Its stunning and could be part of the hotel Miami. Perfect!
EVENING ENTERTAINMENT. The evening starts with the kiddies disco when the kids get on stage and wave their arms about!! Then a cheap game of bingo. 1 euro for a card. 10 euro, a phone card, and a barbacue pass for the line and 70euro, a phone card , a barbacue pass and bottle of champagne for the house, which mounts to pretty good value and I won on the last day. 70 euro but i gave the phone card and bbq pass to a youngster as i went home 2hrs after winning! Then came the main show. We had a quiz were the audience was split into two teams and each team had a captain on stage pressing the buzzers. Then there was flamenco dancing, Boogie nights, Men vs Women (where my team beat my wifes team!) also there was soloist and it was all to a good standard.Overall the entertainment was excellent.
ATMOSPHERE. Amazing even the English got on with the Germans. Hotel Miami have created a really good friendly atmosphere and there was no trouble or stupid comments. Stunning!
WEATHER I know the hotel cant decide but it was really nice and warm every day and this was the end of September. Ibiza as you would expect has usually got the warm sun beating down on it.
OVERALL The hotel is your base and a good hotel sets up a great holiday.If I ever go back to Ibiza I will be staying in the Miami. At £500 for the three of us half board in this 3 star(more like 4star) hotel was a bargain.

Oh, I forgot, did you see that man that wlks around the restaurant with his white sterile gloves on? He does absolutely nothing all day!! When the coffe machine is empty, he goes along and just strightens it up, never mind filling it up.

Well written review, but I can't agree with you on much of it. 'waiter service in the restaurant was pleasant and efficient' ha ha ha ha very funny!!
