a buffet with breads cereals fruit and cakes you get a pot of tea or coffee and there is plenty of fruit juices to in the evening you had a chose thee courses a salad or pasta dish followed by a meat or fish then a desert or fruit i thought it was a good chose and as i don't know the cost i can only say what it is to book direct it is 51-58 euros per person per night half board for more info and a look at the hotel they have a web sight http://www.gardalake.com/hotel-mirabello/ ...
Advantages: Its quiet and very family friendly. Disadvantages: There is a main road in front of Despo it would be better with a proper crossing.
Despo Hotel in gouves is my only get away. I love to stay at Despo as the people are so friendly and the hotel is safe and private. As it is not a massive hotel (74 rooms) you can really relax when you have children. My little girl loves to come hear for our holidays. The staff are so lovely and very friendly they know who you are from the moment you check in and always say hello. The rooms are lovely and clean, you can see the sea from all the front rooms. The food is lovely but you always end up eating to much. The shops are near by and the locals always chat. The sea is a lovely ten minute walk from Despo down a little winding road that has shops bars and resturants. I love it here. ...
Advantages: better than we expected, clean arrival facilities, wasnt too crowded on arrival, nice location, useful staff, shops, airconditioning Disadvantages: departure lounge, toilets in departures, lack of seating during busy times

After reading nothing but extremely negative reviews about Heraklion airport we were becoming increasingly anxious as our plane started to decent onto the Greek island of Crete!
We had read about long delays, lack of or broken air-conditioning, cramped, dirty and overcrowded baggage claim areas and many other complaints.
The airport is situated right by the sea and in the capital of Crete (Heraklion). As we landed I was surprised that the airport was actually of a reasonable size, there was nothing fancy about the outside of the building but at least it didn't look dilapidated!!
As we got off the plane via a set of steps we were immediately guided into a bus, which fortunately wasn't too crowded as there were other passengers waiting for the next one. After just a minute ...
