Hotel Monteplaya, Malgrat de Mar

Advantages: Flat, sunny, safe
Disadvantages: Takes a day or so top get used to the coatal railway

...If you are aged up to about 110 years old, yes that means just about everyone than Malgrat De mar is the place for you. Set about a hours drive from teh border and only 20 minutes from the more well knows resorts of llorett and Blanes Malgrat has it all, From nice well kept beaches, good public transport and a local market, to nightlife thats there to suit everyone, Disco, locals pubs and traditional spannish bars ( if anyone wants more info on this pplease feel free to email me) There is a small coastal railway that devides most of the hotel and apartment complex's with the beach although there are some hotels now directly on the beach. Advantages: great for walks and very friendly.....
Disadvantages: getting used ot the coastal railway, very close to it...

...than Malgrat, but its more of a place where you book your hotel and go to the beach, the shops are very limited, however you do have market stalls at night and the resort is closer to Burger King! Lol. If you wish to go, you can book a hotel and book a flight to Barcelona. If you fly to Barcelona, you can catch the train to Malgrat, however you have to switch once, we changed at Badalona ( not a resort, it's a Spanish town, pretty cool, stayed there once with aunty, too Spanish though lol). The train takes around an hour to get to Malgrat but its nice as you get to see the other resorts, but beware, close your eyes! Lol……. There's a few nudist beach's along the way……. Overall, I really enjoyed Malgrat de mar, there's plenty to do, and in two weeks you would of seen everything, done everything, oh and did I mention, there's also a water... Read review

...Well what can i say, its so good i'm already booked and waiting to go back again soon. I found the Costa Brava a very friendly and welcoming place to visit. I stayed at Calella, but along the coast line you will find, Tossa del mar,Llorett de mar,Malgrat de Mar,Santa Sussanah and Pineda, all these towns are within a few minutes train ride away, they are even linked by a small land train service, which only costs a couple of Euro's for the return tickets, this way also enables you to take an extensive tour of the towns and discover what each has on offer. There is an outside market every day in the towns, your Hotel etc will happily supply you with the information on which market, day and town.These markets are full of all the usual knock of versions of top named brand goods, for example Doulcie and Gabbana belts for 10 euro's, come...
