I've just got rid of my Murano but I thought my comments may still be helpful to some. I could be wrong, you decide!
I was in 2 minds about getting a Murano in the first place. Before the kiddies came along I was enjoying myself with some great 2 seater top down motoring for 5 or 6 years but of course there was no space for the little 'uns so it was time to grow up and get myself something far more in keeping with my age. I could always go back to sports cars when my mid-life crisis kicks in. Either that or I could get myself a Harley. Anyway....
I fancied a 4x4. I don't know why. At the time I had no reason for one, but with a very young family I thought I felt safer in a 4x4 than I would in say a saloon. I didn't want an X5 or an ML, both seemed too obvious and in my neck of the woods every other car is a BMW or a Merc. I wanted ...

Advantages: EXCELLENT HOTEL Disadvantages: NOTHING
Crowne Plaza Birmingham NEC
My wife and I have stayed here a couple of times, always in March and yes you?ve probably guessed, it?s when Crufts is on at the NEC.
Strange but a few years ago you had to book wayyy way in advance to get a room but with this recession where all going through, getting a room is easy. I suppose the stick that Crufts came under last year didn?t help either but anyhow getting back to the hotel.
You can easily book a room and they vary in price from £120 to £220 depending on things such as lake view, breakfast included or evening meal and breakfast. But as March approaches then the room prices tend to rocket.
The room is a standard large bedroom and a bathroom.
What more to add to the room? It comes with TV, Kettle, Ironing equip, small table and 2 comfy chairs. We ...
Advantages: Location, toiletries Disadvantages: Expensive if not booked through third party website
I've stayed at The Strand Palace a number of times. I generally pay around £85 per night for a double room although I book through a third party as booking directly through the hotel seems to cost in excess of £100 per night.
I've no idea why it's listed as 2 star on here given that its 3 star everywhere else. The rooms are a decent size and always clean. The bathroom is stocked with Pascal Morabito toiletries which I appreciate. There's a tv with sky channels, pay wi-fi, hairdryer etc. The staff are very polite and willing to help.
With regard to location, the hotel is located on the Strand which is the prime hotspot for theatre-goers. It's very close to Covent Garden and there are a number of London guides provided in the room for those who are new to the city.
I have not tried the food at the hotel so I am unable to comment ...
