Hotel Nikko

Advantages: Fantastic spec, high class hotel with excellent service
Disadvantages: Ever so slightly out of the way

The Hotel Nikko was one of the best I have visited in the US. We relocated to the Nikko, because our original hotel was right next to a tramline on a busy street and they were very unhelpful when we asked to move room. The contrast when we moved to the Nikko couldn't have been greater. It was like an oasis of calm in the middle of frenetic San Francisco. The staff were friendly and courteous and we spent a few very enjoyable days in and around San Francisco in the knowledge that we were coming back to a sanctuary every evening. Our room was excellent. It was beautifully decorated with an oriental touch. I think the hotel is Japanese owned, which would explain the decor. In addition, our room had great views over the city, even though the location is quite low down on the skyline. The only tiny drawback was that ...

A superb value hotel in one of the best Tokyo locations

Advantages: Clean, modern, excellent location
Disadvantages: Small rooms and not cheap, but not many places in the area are cheap!

I'm lucky to have never stayed in a bad hotel in Tokyo. For this trip I decided I wanted to stay near Shinjuku, so previous hotels were out of the question and my budget is getting smaller all the time. Through a combination of reviews on Tripadvisor, rating on hotels.com and a good listing of hotel rates from lowest to highest there emerged a clear winner, the Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku! Getting there We arrived in Tokyo on the Shinkansen train from Kyoto, switched train lines at Tokyo station and emerged at Shinjuku (one of the major stations in the city). The journey from Tokyo station was easy, it's not hard to get to Shinjuku really as it's such a major station. If you're arriving at Narita you have a couple of options to get to the hotel, you can take the Narita Express train or there is also a bus which stops right ...

Zimmer 483- One of the Best Albumns from Tokio Hotel

Advantages: well writtten lyrics
Disadvantages: very short and could have some songs added in English

Simply Amazing! Tokio Hotel is a German band who sings in German and English but tours world-wide. Their albumn Zimmer 483, sung in German, contained the songs Spring Nicht (Don't Jump), Reden, Vergessene Kinder (Forgottten Children), Au Deiner Seite (By Your side), and numerous other songs. Lyrics and Meanings: This lyrics of the songs were well written and very touching. Spring Nicht- which is my personal favorite song, talks about not comitting suicide and how inside of every person who wants to kill themselves is a small part of them that wants to live. Reden-based on the well-known evening in the hotel that Tom Kaultiz had with a fan. Au Deiner Seite- When everything in life is going by, it talks about how someone will always be there by your side to be with you Vergessene Kinder- it tells about all of those ...
