The Victoria Park Plaza in London is an amazing hotel that has very comfortable, quality rooms and staff who are friendly and professional. The best thing about The Victoria Park Plaza is that it is in a prime position just two minutes from Victoria Station and an easy walk to some of London's main attractions. I found it perfect for shopping and buying souvenirs. There were also quite a number of restaurants close by and my mum who cannot walk far didn't complain once. Although we ate at the hotel we also sampled London's China Town.
It is a four star hotel and lives up to the standard. It is situated close to Buckingham Palace, Harrods, Westminster Abbey and Houses of Parliament. After a relatiely short transfer from the airport, we were greeted by friendly reception staff and porters. Arrived in a huge family suite with a queen sized bed and two singles for the children, the room was clean with a lovely balcony, however the air conditioing wasn't great!
Food was buffet style, great breakfasts, but were fairly repetitive, the scrambled eggs were to die for! Dinners were always great, something for everyone, even my fussy 4 and 7 year olds found plenty to eat with the large choice of dishes available, we stayed for a week and it was different every night. Buy water outside the hotel as it is quite expensive from the bar.
Pool and surrounding area was always spotless, but I can imagine that it gets quite busy at the height of summer.
No entertainment in the evenings meant that we were usually in bed before 10 ...
