Advantages: Plenty to do for everyone Disadvantages: was only there a week
...I've just got back from Ibiza, had a great time. San Antanio had two sides to it, there was the clubbing side and the chilled out side, thats why I loved it so much. I went to some great bars, watched the sun set, and went to Cream at Amnesia. My hotel was right on the beach, and next to two big clubs, the hotel room had a lovel sea view, it was in a great location. I spent most of the day on the beach, then at night i'd chill out in one of the cool bars. For anyone going to Ibiza, make sure you watch the sun set from one of the bars because there is such a great atmosphere there. I watched it from cafe del mar, somebody took our photo there and put it on the internet . I'd defiantely recommend going to Ibiza....

Advantages: something for eveyone Disadvantages: pricey drinks in resorts
...Having spent many sun, sea sand etc holidays in Greek islands I ended up on the "clubbing capital" of Europe on a late package deal to Ibiza. The resort was Puerto San Miguel about 20km from both San Antonia and Ibiza town. The resort was peaceful and compact with limited choice of resteraunts and bars, having booked for two weeks we spent the first week unwinding on the beach and the hotel pool.
Having relaxed fully we ventured to the above mentioned towns in the second week, my advice avoid the shabby and dated Ibiza town and head for the nightlife of San Antonia - buses and taxis are cheap, well organized and Brit friendly!
This holiday showed that one island has two very different attitudes to holidaying so i recommended you try and find both in your stay....

Advantages: Something for everyone Disadvantages: None that I could see at that time of year
...I was in 2 minds about going to Ibiza, especially San Antonio. Yeah, I'd watched Ibiza uncovered and I was worried that I was a) too old, b)too clothed and c) too married to have a good time. I was wrong. I went to San Antonio in May and stayed at the Hotel Palmyra, just oiutside the West End (but within staggering distance). At that time of yearKevin & Perry are still in school so there's plenty of room for the more 'mature' visitor to get a few drinks in without feeling past it. The clubs were excellent, the beaches at Cala Conte & Cala Bassa were beautiful and drunken teenagers few and far between. There were hedonistic pleasures if you wanted them and quiet retreats if you didn't.
Go to Ibiza, it'll surprise you like it did me....
