Luxembourg Small, But Plentiful.

Advantages: Lot's to do and see, great nightlife, fine dining and wine tasting.
Disadvantages: Can be expensive if not careful

enjoy eating in different places then you will love the vibrant cafes and restaurants near the river in an area called the Grund that you can get to via a lift that will take you downwards past the old rock. If you can't afford to stay in a luxury hotel then there are plenty of youth hostels and from what I've heard they are very nice to stay in even though they might not be luxurious. Plus they are a lot cheaper so if you can live without the luxury of a posh hotel then you will enjoy a night in a youth hostel. Whilst in Luxembourg you won't want to miss sampling the food. You could work up an appetite by rock climbing or water sports. Luxembourg has plenty of restaurants and food places you can even dine al fresco in Luxembourg. Treat yourself to the food at one of the cafes and you will be able to indulge in many tempting treats ...

Review of City Hotel, Luxembourg

I had a title but I left it in Luxembourg

Advantages: centrally located, cheap, convenient
Disadvantages: a quality 5* hotel this aint

We had a bank holiday last week and assuming that it would be more dead than a Sunday (and believe me, a typical Sunday here is taking some getting used to after 20 years of Sundays in England) I decided to do the sensible thing and go away for a few days to a country that, erm, wasn’t having a bank holiday. I looked at a map, saw a country that lay almost directly west of here and it was decided. Off to Luxembourg to, in Muffin’s words, stare at some Luxembourgians. Despite the low prices, youth hostels just don’t appeal to me most of the time, so I took to the net to look for a hotel and about half an hour later had found one, checked availability and handed over my credit card number. *** Getting There The hotel is located smack bang in the center of the city. From the railway station, turn right ...

Centre Parcs: SHERWOOD FOREST: An Honest Review

Advantages: Location; Wildlife; Accomodation; Range of activities; Shops
Disadvantages: Quite expensive; accomodation could be a fair distance from main areas!

I have been to Centre Parcs (SHERWOOD) a few times, and thought I'd share my experiences with this review. The last time I visited Centre Parcs was with my partner in February of this year - the only time I have ever been during the Winter months, but as it is both of our birthday's around January/February time, my partner took me as a birthday treat, and I have to say it was probably the best birthday present ever. We stayed in an 'Executive Lodge', which was a two-storey house, and were there from Friday morning - Monday afternoon. ARRIVAL When you arrive at Centre Parcs in Sherwood Forest, you are told you will not be able to enter your accomodation until around 3pm. I was slightly put out by this, as we had arrived at 10am, and would have to leave our car within one of their carparks (you are not allowed to drive ...
