Advantages: Very impressive if you're into modern buildings Disadvantages: Not typical Paris at all!
...The last time I was in Paris I happened to be staying in a hotel near La Defense. I was travelling for business, not pleasure, and therefore had not looked at a guide book about it before I arrived. When I stepped out of the La Defense metro station I had not been expecting anything and was so impressed with what I did see. A skyful of what are to me beautiful, modern, oddly-shaped skyscrapers. I thought it was a wonderful site, amazingly modern looking in a city where so much stature is placed in what is old and historic. I am delighted that I came across this place. The museum, or exhibition area, at the top of the Grande Arch is very impressive. It's also nice to get an aerial shot of Paris that ISN'T from the top of the Eiffel Tower!

...Well, I was two times in Paris and i have heard that « les Parisiens » do not want to live in Paris, because of the stress and the more or less pollution.
But I do not support this decision. Well, before I write something about Paris I tell you how you can travel to Paris in the best way.
The best way to reach Paris is to go with an aeroplane or with the bus on account of the price (if you do not choose the first class to travel). Nevertheless, the comfort is not the best. With the car is too complicated, because it is too long and your car can be destroyed in Paris or it can be stolen.
When you arrive the capital of France I propose you the street “rue des petites hotels”, on account of the many economic hotels with one or two stars. These hotels are not luxurious and their building is not the best, but they surprisingly...

Advantages: Clean, budget-priced accommodation, easily accessible Disadvantages: Area OK, but not the prettiest part of Paris
...11 BIS RUE DE MAZAGRAN , Paris
This Hotel is rated as 3* according to the 2004 review. However, having stayed in Paris many times, we were well aware when we booked that the number of stars advertised by a hotel often doesn't mean a lot. Never take En Suite for granted, for instance, is rule number 1 when staying on the continent (we've learnt the hard way!!) However, this hotel definately deserved its 3 stars, and would fit the bill of a 3 star hotel in the UK.
We stayed at the Regina Opera for 2 nights in February 2004. The hotel is located in the 10th Arrondissement in an easily accessible location. It's off the main street so it's not too noisy at night, in an area that seems to have a large number of Turkish residents and restaurants. Back on the main road, however, are a wide variety of bars, clubs and restaurants to take your...
